23.01.2022 Bowen and Whitsunday residents may miss out yet again. Although council has approved operation at Horseshoe Bay for Easter trading, GRMPA ( marine parks ) have not. I received a phone call from GRMPA outlining that the normal processing time for such an application is 16 weeks. In order to fast track the process I would need to pay an application fee of $8470 however they would still require a minimum of 6 weeks which takes it past the desired trading period of Easter. My only hope now is that Whitsunday Council decides on the 9th of March to re-instate the Aqua Park for Airlie Beach at some stage this year. I will also be working with GRMPA to bring the attraction to Bowen in the future. I am truly disappointed to say the least.

22.01.2022 Calling all locals! Our last day of trading at Boathaven Beach is next Saturday 31st of October. We’d love to see the support of as many people as possible before we go into hibernation. Bring the kids down after school! Come down and have fun or exercise. We have so much gratitude for the Whitsunday Rate Payers association, they stepped in and provided an out of the box solution for us and the Port of Airlie residents and we managed to avoid a costly legal battle - it truly ...is a great outcome. We are confident that with the WRA's lobbying efforts we’ll get the green light to relocate the facility to the mouth of Airlie Creek where the park would live off a pontoon that would also double as a "dinghy port" and service the community of resident and visiting yachts. 18.01.2022 We truly hope that Whitsunday Regional Council finds a way to welcome us back into the Airlie Beach and Whitsunday community. In preparation for a positive outcome we've change the name of Airlie Aqua Park to AquaSplash Airlie Beach inline with director Jason Ford joining the AquaSplash Gold Coast team. AND we'd like to announce the opening of our brand new facility on the Central Coast NSW this summer!

17.01.2022 Hi all, today's meeting with council went extremely well. Subject to the GRMPA permit we will be trading at Horseshoe Bay, Bowen over the Easter Holidays. Council fast tracked the approval and made it available almost immediately after our meeting. As far as Airlie goes by unanimous decision it was agreed that all final prices and a management plan be tabled by the next council meeting on the 9th of March when the councillors will be asked to vote in favour or against the project. Thanks to everyone for your continued support.

16.01.2022 We are still not open folks, it's not without trying though. I have a full council meeting tomorrow so hopefully common sense prevails and we can move forward. In the meantime I have put an application in to council and GRMPA to operate at Bowen over the Easter school holidays. If granted we look forward to coming to Bowen and making lots of new friends.

15.01.2022 The day before we go to the polls it would be remiss of me if I did not share my recent dealings with our local council. The ONLY councillor in any capacity to contact me after my forced closing was Andrew Wilcox. I found Andrew to be professional and personable at my first meeting. He has made no secret that he is very supportive of the Aqua Park and will endeavour to work to re-instate it. I believe all councillors to be in support of the Aqua Park but which ones will really stand up and make it happen. Everybody will have certain reasons to vote for their choice, those that are unclear, I can honestly say that Andrew Wilcox is a decent person with the entire regions best interest at heart.

To our crew that help us pull the Aqua park out & put it in THANK YOU, you make a time that is both physically demanding & emotional just so much easier.... But most importantly we want to thank all the people & our community who came and supported us .To see your happy smiling faces has been a joy.We look forward to seeing you all again when we open up.
