23.01.2022 As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues, AirMed & GroundMed have the #aeromedical capacity to assist in the efforts to transfer patients, with a fleet of aeromedical aircraft on standby. Experts currently predict that Australia’s #COVID19 infection rate will continue to rise throughout April (with a peak towards the last week in April); leaving thousands of patients requiring treatment at #hospitals located in #regional hubs away from home. These patients could endure several ho...urs drive. The requirement for more #aircraft to assist in the Australian COVID-19 pandemic is clear. #AirMed have the resources and fleet of dedicated aeromedical aircraft, crews and #medical staff to air-lift patients and medical teams throughout the country. We are set up, and have the capability to transfer coronavirus patients, including cross borders with our strict infection control procedures in place explains AirMed CEO Matthew Kline. Airmed transports more than 3,000 patients each year, and has been doing so for over 25 years Flying patients from their hometown to a major hospitals is only part of the patient flow equation - beds and ventilators are in such high demand that the fast repatriation of patients back to their home town after treatment is just as important as getting them there in the first place. AirMed currently carry patients on both the incoming and outbound and have further capacity, by filling the return flights with recovered patients; beds and equipment are freed up faster, and more critical patients have access to those facilities.

05.01.2022 The bushfire relief effort from fellow Australians has warmed our hearts here at AirMed GroundMed Wingaway, and we chose to help out our furry friends with a unique medical donation to the Mogo Zoo in partnership with FEATHERDALE SYDNEY WILDLIFE PARK. Our medical equipment gets updated regularly here at AirMed, and while we donate old equipment to regional health centres regularly, these two Humidicribs were ideally suited to support nursing animals back to health. Earlier this month Nurse Sandy Swanton and Driver Frank dropped them off to the Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park, who are helping us out by taking them down to Mogo, where they'll be put to a great new use!
