24.01.2022 Today's General Meeting: AIR Noosa member, Jim Hughes AM, Immediate Past Chairman of the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia updated us on the latest prostate cancer research. After lung cancer, prostate cancer causes more deaths among Australian men than any other kind of cancer. There are no symptoms. Detection now only requires a simple blood test to check PSA levels. If you are a male ask your GP about the blood test. Jim encouraged us to be more proactive about this terrible disease. Thanks for updating the group and helping improve our health outcomes.

05.01.2022 Yesterday's IDG was amazing. Matthew pointed out that now is the time to look at asset allocation and think about your risk profile - while the Market is performing well. He also reminded us to check we have a valid Power of Attorney in place that covers your SMSF. Guest Speaker, Steve Mabb, ASA Director and Qld State Chair gave an excellent 'preso' on Investing overseas via the ASX. He covered 7 ETFs - ASX: IVV, NDQ, ACDC (specifically batteries!), VAE, ASIA, CNEW and IIND. The usual Disclaimer applies.
