25.01.2022 Do you have questions about roof ventilation systems? We've compiled our top 10 most asked FAQs and answered them for you here: https://airocle.com.au/top-10-faqs-about-roof-ventilation-/

23.01.2022 Are you building or looking at installing natural ventilation systems to an existing or upcoming project? Get to know Airocle and discover how we can help harness the power of nature to suit you! Learn more: https://airocle.com.au

22.01.2022 Josh & James Griffiths explains how well-thought-out natural ventilation can be used when designing a building. The benefits can significantly improve the lives of the occupants inside, as well as reduce the initial build cost. Discover the Airocle difference: https://hubs.ly/H0vRRTD0

22.01.2022 Without natural ventilation, airflow changes are near impossible. By adding louvres and/or vents to your building, you’ll allow for improved cross-flow ventilation which helps improve the working environment of employees and increase overall production. Without somewhere for the air to pass through, it can become trapped and stagnate, leaving poor quality air to circulate, leading to increased illness and poor work performance. 22.01.2022 Did you know that some termites use natural ventilation to construct their mounds? Magnetic termite mounds in the Northern Territory are built to thermo-regulate, creating stable temperatures for the occupants inside. The mounds thin edges point north-south and broad backs face towards the east-west, to ensure a balanced amount of warmth and humidity throughout the year. These termites carefully construct their build to ensure that the temperature stays even over the course o...f the extremely hot day and subsequent cold nights. A researcher from Harvard University's School of Engineering and Applied Sciences conducted a study on how the termites achieved ventilation with "The result is a twice-daily inverting convection cell within the mound that brings stale air from the nest to the surfaces of the mound. - explained Hunter King. 19.01.2022 Scientists and medical professionals from around the world are stressing the importance of natural ventilation in buildings to help reduce the risk of transmission of diseases. Dr Robyn Schofield, an atmospheric chemist from the School of Earth Sciences at Melbourne University, said the threat of aerosol transmission is particularly significant for the virus spreading indoors. The government has been focused on things the community can do to reduce the spread, but focus very ...little on what businesses can be doing to mitigate the risks. "As long as people believe that washing their hands and staying 1.5 metres apart is going to keep them safe, they are working on the wrong information. This is all about ventilation." Around the world in countries such as Germany, the government is investing in natural ventilation for new and existing buildings. There are now calls for Australia to do the same, to ensure the health and safety of building occupants. https://www.abc.net.au//ventilation-indoor-airflow-could-b...

18.01.2022 We've been in the #NaturalVentilation industry for the past 90+ years, trading as part of the IVR Group! Sharing our history with you, this is a job we completed on Customs House in Circular Quay in the late 1920s. At the time, we helped repair the roof in addition to installing a ventilator system. Today, we continue to install specialised ventilation systems, including fire and smoke vents manufactured to AS-2427: https://airocle.com.au/products/ #ventilation #architecture #AS2427 #manufacturing #Australia #customshouse

17.01.2022 Does your current facility offer smoke management systems in the event of a fire? Airocle fire and smoke vents are built to Australian Fire Safety Standards AS-2472. Without the correct ventilation, the likelihood of fatalities is increased due to smoke inhalation. Reduce the risk by ensuring your building is exceeding standards. https://hubs.la/H0yz-hY0

14.01.2022 James & Josh Griffiths discuss how natural ventilation helps to regulate air temperatures and provide comfortable temperatures for building occupants. Furthermore, by thinking natural, you will also reduce the building running costs in comparison to mechanical ventilation. The price of electricity is not going to go down James warns as he encourages everyone to consider a more sustainable approach to future building projects. 13.01.2022 Enjoy a quick read about how natural ventilation can help reduce sickness in the workplace: https://airocle.com.au/how-can-natural-ventilation-help-pr/

12.01.2022 World Health Organisation conducted a live Q&A where the primary focus revolved around all forms of ventilation and Covid-19. Natural ventilation is recommended to promote indoor air quality and is expected to be encouraged in all future builds. https://hubs.la/H0yzZ-p0

10.01.2022 FACT: Did you know that insufficient ventilation can lead to increased illness among workers? In fact, studies have shown that a 22% reduction rate of sickness can be seen as a result of adequate ventilation!

09.01.2022 Still unsure of the benefits natural ventilation has to offer? Chartered Senior Structural Engineer, Josh Griffiths, has worked with Airocle on a number of projects. Here he discusses some of the reason why he chooses natural ventilation over mechanical. Learn more here: https://airocle.com.au/natural-ventilation-solutions/

08.01.2022 Interested in some of Airocle’s previous projects? Take a closer look at a natural ventilation system we had the pleasure of working on with Bluescope Steel. We were able to successfully reduce the buildings average temperature from over 70 C to an average of 32 C. This helped to improve the working conditions for workers, while also improving the life of machinery too. Learn more: https://hubs.ly/H0vqVDc0

07.01.2022 GBCA CEO, Davina Rooney warns that Industrial buildings risk becoming ‘stranded assets’ as There is growing financial pressure, political will, public demand, and legislation driving us towards a zero-carbon world Rooney explains. There are fears that if buildings don’t adapt to lessen their carbon footprint in industrial builds from 2020, they risk being stranded. This article by HVAC&R news outlines the potential impact developers and builders face if they don’t make a shift soon: https://www.hvacrnews.com.au//a-holistic-sustainable-desi/

04.01.2022 An incredible read from the Green Building Council of Australia that delves into the benefits of industrial facilities moving towards a greener and more sustainable future. In this particular study, they briefly touch on roof vents and how they are used to provide natural ventilation to the building. The advantages are realised by reduction of building costs, power consumption and provides the building with adequate temperature differentials for optimised comfort and productivity. We had the pleasure of supplying the roof vents for the featured Horsley Drive Business Park, NSW, Frasers Property Industrial, the first 6 Star Green Star industrial park in Australia.

01.01.2022 As of 1 July, 2020, Fire Safety Assessors must be accredited under FPAS if they wish to perform ' regulated work' under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Regulation 2000 (EPAR). These include: - Fire Systems Design (FSD) - for practitioners who endorse plans and specifications in accordance with clauses 136AA and 146B of the EPAR; and... - Fire Safety Assessment (FSA) - for those who endorse essential fire safety measures on annual or supplementary fire safety statements under Part 9, Divisions 5 and 7 of the EPAR. Airocle is proud to announce that we are certified with an accredited practitioner of fire safety measures (APFS). With only 206 accredited practitioners for smoke & heat vents, ensure you are meeting safety standards as legally required, by partnering with Airocle: https://connect.fpaa.com.au/FPASDetailPage?id=54067

01.01.2022 Amidst the global pandemic, WHO (World Health Organization) and others alike have been pushing the need for natural ventilation to help minimise the risk of transmissions of harmful viruses like Covid-19. Studies have shown that the more frequent the airflow changes occur, the less likely it is for stale air to circulate, therefore reducing the likelihood of transmissions. https://hubs.la/H0yzGhM0...
