A true family heirloom August (a musician and interior designer) worked on his home for a year so that he had somewhere to live when returning to Ojai, his hometown. 13.01.2022 This deep-olive Airstream is called El Cornichon, which translates to the little pickle. It is the brainchild of Jorge Alamada of Casamidy who used his luxe-rustic furnishings business to inspire the colour and interior use of leather panels and waxed canvas! The exterior colour on the 1968 Overlander was achieved by painting it matte black first, then iridescent yellow, then the green, followed by a sealant. According to Jorge, In daylight its olive, and at night it t...urns forest green. My favourite aspects have to be the: little table looking out the front window - such a great idea! ... back of the tv unit has a custom curve to suit the Airstream, two eye-catching doors (between the kitchen and bedroom) that Sheena decorated with Stikwood, Open plan layout at the front which can accommodate a massive couch, Side bathroom design! 05.01.2022 Wowsers! AutoCamp is opening in Cape Cod, New England in Fall 2020!! There will be 108 accommodations (including Airstream suites and luxury tents) and itll be just 5 minutes from downtown Falmouth and Woods Hole. Beautiful beaches, the Shining Sea Bikeway, ferries to Marthas Vineyard, beer + cider tastings, campfires... #swoon! ... We dropped into their Santa Barbara and Russian River locations early last year (and drove past their Yosemite location unknowingly during construction) and we are huge fans! Right behind the photographer was a busy road... as soon as we dressed up Peggy Sue (a 1966 Trade Wind) with coloured festoon lights people started slowing down to take a peek.
