A workshop at NHC College focused on the benefits and informed the development of a Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI...) strategy. This is aimed at supporting the recruitment and attraction of a diverse range of students. This work will complement other activities by AIS Global to support people in this cohort.

16.01.2022 SUPPORT FOR PEOPLE WITH A DISABILITY IN VIETNAM AIS Global introduced the concept of reasonable adjustment for people with a disability and the socially excluded at Thu Duc College of Technology in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), Vietnam. Reasonable adjustment a well-established principle of the Australian VET system is the process of adjusting learning, teaching and assessment to accommodate the needs of people with disabilities without compromising course integrity. This is a ...new concept to Vietnamese VET trainers but one they recognise offers a way to increase the participation of people with disabilities. A personal account from disability expert, Mr Nguyen Van Cu, Vice Director-Disability Research and Capacity Development Centre, of the social and physical challenges he and others have faced resonated strongly with the discussions and supported participants’ understanding of the issues. This work will continue in 2020 to build specialist skills and knowledge to support the employment of people with a disability.

04.01.2022 AUSTRALIA TO CONTRIBUTE $80 MILLION TO HELP SECURE COVID-19 VACCINES FOR REGIONAL COUNTRIES, INCLUDING VIETNAM Australia is proud to support fair access to #COVID19 vaccines for our neighbours in the Pacific and Southeast Asia, including Vietnam by supporting a crucial new #COVAX initiative by Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance. The Australian Government believes COVID-19 vaccines developed should be safe, effective and available to all, not just those that can afford to purchase or... manufacture it themselves. Australia’s contribution of $80 million will help secure COVID-19 vaccines for Pacific Island and Southeast Asian countries. Gavi’s COVAX Facility Advance Market Commitment will address the acute phase of the pandemic, providing doses for up to 20 percent of countries’ populations in its first phase, ensuring that health care workers and vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, have access. Together with our Pacific and Southeast Asian neighbours, we will strengthen our region’s health security. --------------------------------------- Australia t hào cung cp khon h tr tr giá 80 triu ô la Úc nhm mang li kh nng tip cn công bng vi vc-xin chng #COVID19 cho các nc láng ging ca chúng tôi trong khu vc Thái Bình Dng và ông Nam Á, trong ó có Vit Nam.
