16.01.2022 Remembering the life of Former President of India, Bharat Ratna and Padma Vibhushan, Shri Pranab Mukherjee, who leaves behind an illustrious legacy. Through his... journey as a college professor, a journalist, a seasoned politician with a career spanning five decades, and then as the President of India, he was a scholar par excellence and an ideal statesman, who will always be celebrated for his remarkable contributions towards the progress of our nation. "His lifelong service to the country, and many national and international causes serve as an inspiration to many including me, our faculty members, students, staff and in particular, to the young citizens of India. His life embodied values such as commitment to public causes, courage of conviction to pursue challenging but meaningful paths, and holding forth a sense of purpose. As one the greatest leaders of our times, his sad demise has indeed been a tragic loss which has left us with a deep void," expresses JGU's VC Prof. (Dr.) C. Raj Kumar. Shri Pranab Mukherjee had always championed the cause of education, and was a huge pillar of support for JGU. He inspired and encouraged us over the years to breach new heights. We have been graced with his presence at multiple events on campus and beyond, including hosting us at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan on various occasions. We've had the honour of his legacy woven into the life and soul of JGU, and it will continue to live on, strong and filled with inspiration, for generations of young Indians to come. 06.01.2022 A unique Australia vs India cricket match organized by Australian-Indian Sports Educational & Cultural Society (AISECS) today on 16th September two years back between Australian politicians and Indian consulate officials. Back to the launch day of the organization in 2018, we strived to create stronger future pathways by way of utilizing the rich cultural and sporting heritage that these two nations have in common. What could have been the better way to celebrate the day ...other than by sharing the mutual love for the game 'CRICKET' on the ground between the two countries. Wondering if we can hit back the old eventful and productive days soon again.
