07.01.2022 "AIYEP = Life Changing! My AIYEP experience in 2006/07 in Kalimantan was incredible: epic soccer games in the village, staying with my wonderful host families, cooling off in our rainforest waterhole and spending two months of my life with an amazing bunch of people! The experience of AIYEP helped me get future opportunities, employment and lifelong friends. Years later I bumped into the 2012 AIYEP in the airport and met my beautiful wife Lian! I’m now based in Indonesia and we even have an AIYEP baby :) So when I say this program changed my life, I really mean it!" - Kieran Pascoe AIYEP 2006/07 You've read their stories and now it's your time to experience AIYEP like never before! 01.01.2022 "For me, AIYEP was about self-discovery not through one thunderous epiphany at the airport departure lounge but through slow and tiny moments. In many way, Indonesian norms provided me a mirror. They revealed not just the social histories of the Indonesian people but provided a foil to understand myself. Through miniature moments of tension, I could peel back assumptions and expectations to interrogate parts of my character." - Cameron Allan AIYEP37 AIYEP provide opportunit...ies for young people from Australia and Indonesia to gain a better understanding of the culture, development, and way of life of each other's country through virtual interactions, online learning, and engage in projects and reflective conversations.
