21.01.2022 Support Our Jieh Village Update - THANK YOU AJCC would like to thank all those who have donated to support our village initiative. We have reached and exceeded our target. The total contribution so far is $30595, out of which, $10000 was spent covering 284 food parcels. 198 parcels were distributed to the Jieh families who lives in Jieh and 74 boxes to those Jieh families who lives outside Jieh that we have sourced their contacts, with 12 remaining boxes will be utilised ...as part of next stage. Now that we have covered most Jieh families, the next Stage is to focus ONLY on the needy by providing food vouchers or food boxes we will keep you posted. A special thanks to the Jieh Youth in Australia who supported this initiative as well as the Jieh Youth in our Village who has been busy purchasing, packaging and distributing those food parcels. In parallel, our Medical Assistance initiative is in its 4th month where 57 families have been provided and supported with all their medical needs. Again, around $8000 was spent so far out of the $22555 collected. 20.01.2022 Support the Village Initiative The Jieh Youth Maronite Group with the support of QMHR and in collaboration with the AJCC, have initiated a new fundraiser to support the local Jieh village in this challenging time. The plan is to purchase Food-packages that contain 17 essential food items, locally sourced (rice, sugar, lentils, tuna, etc..) with total weight of each package around 35kg.... This is great initiative and we commend as we are proud of the Jieh Youth Maronite Group for thinking about our Jieh families in needs and aid our loved ones in our village. We request all the Jieh fathers and mothers to support this initiative by encouraging the young generation, who are working and supporting themselves, to be more engaged and therefore contribute to this initiative. 07.01.2022 Supporting our Jieh Students Whilst we continue with supporting our families with food packages and monthly medication needs, education program is and will continue to be a key support project for our school and university students who lives in our village Jieh. As the new school year has started in Lebanon, AJCC have provided all the stationary needs for 43 school and 30 university students. ... Once again, thank you to all those who are trusting AJCC in delivering these charitable projects. A special thanks to the on-the-ground Jieh youth team who are doing a fantastic job volunteering to purchase, pack, distribute those stationery school bags.
