25.01.2022 AJ Grant were engaged to complete the relocation of two existing demountable buildings from St Aloysius Primary School, Chisholm to St James Primary School, Kotara. Works also included a new timber deck and interconnection Covered Outdoor Learning Area (COLA) to create a functional space between the buildings to extend the classrooms outside. All works to the building and outdoor spaces were completed to Bushfire Attack Level 29 as specified by the client. Through attention t...o detail and involvement in the change of design AJ Grant brought together three older style demountable classroom and created a functional creative learning space which all the children at the school can use and enjoy. The buildings and their surrounding landscapes fit perfectly into the schools grounds and show the quality and craftsmanship delivered by AJ Grant. 25.01.2022 A significant superstorm hit South East Queensland on Saturday afternoon, particularly affecting Springfield Lakes and the surrounding areas near Ipswich City. Our AJ Grant Make Safe Teams were busy offering 24/7 emergency response to our clients and customers ensuring our customers properties were made safe, secure and free from further damage. 23.01.2022 After a flood it is generally common practice to strip the internals of a dwelling before being able to begin works. The timber frame then needs to be sanitised correctly and a certificate received confirming all clear before re-lining. Sometimes if bad enough the entire tiled floor needs removing due to bacteria and contaminants. 05.01.2022 AJ Grant Restorations were contracted to restore the Kareela Golf Club due to water ingress from heavy rainfall. Upon inspection the client advised that torrents of water was gushing down the car park and into the front doors at reception and onto the carpets as well as the side doors at the Cove Restaurant affecting all the carpets, down the stairs and through the floor into the function room and downstairs foyer. At time of inspection it was observed that damage had occurre...d to the reception foyer carpets, Cove Restaurant, staircase to function room, function room foyer and function room carpets. Skirting boards throughout the staircase and function room level were swelling. Water also came through a section of the roof and into the Cove restaurant. Plasterboard and skirting boards were removed due to swelling and mould that had started to form. Drying equipment was installed along with new skirting boards, plaster boards and carpet.
