24.01.2022 After the 25m & 7m indoor pools had been drained and cleaned over the COVID shutdown, we're now busy working on cleaning and repainting the outdoor 25m pool. We are hoping to have it back open by the school holidays, just in time for the warmer weather Thanks Algester Handyman Services for jumping on the tools and helping us clean and repaint our pools!

22.01.2022 Hi family and friends, For all the kids attending tomorrows class at Algester, please ensure you bring your school bags, or a back pack ( no laptops inside you...r bag). Also, please bring a hat, water bottle and sunscreen ( in the event we go outdoors). Tomorrows class is introducing the kids to a scenario where they are walking to or from school, bus stop, shopping centre etc and they have to defend themselves against the threat of an attempted abduction. 21.01.2022 || Reduced Car Park Spaces And Ongoing Maintenance At AJs || Dear AJ's Sports Centre Members and Swim School Families, Earlier this year when AJs Sports Centre was required to suspend trade due to the Coronavirus we took this opportunity to clean the centre and begin some larger cleaning, painting and maintenance projects which we could not previously perform. Many of you would have already noticed the fresh coats of paint around the gym, pool area and hallways as well as t...he start of some new signage which has been rolled out since the start of this year. The other large project we started during this time is draining, cleaning and repainting all our pools, which we are currently halfway through completing. We have since realised through commencing these projects the roof above the swim school reception and indoor 15m pool is in need of replacement. This work has commenced on Monday 7th September and we hope the 15m pool and swim school reception will be reopened by the start of term 4. Unfortunately, due to this building work and the scaffolding that will be used, we have lost a number of carpark spaces directly outside the swim school reception, and 15m indoor pool. Access to the centre via the accessibility ramp will also be impacted during this time. We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you over the next few weeks, and we thank you for your patience as we look forward to the 15m pool reopening soon better than ever. 20.01.2022 Just a reminder we're closing early today for the EKKA public holiday. Childminding won't be open this afternoon, and the Swim School is also closed today! We will be open tomorrow at our usual time of 6am - and Swim School is back with it's normal Saturday lessons.

18.01.2022 Learn to Swim Teachers Course Become a Swim Australia registered learn to swim instructor. AJ’s Sports Centre is hosting Lisa Rolls from Saving Lives Australia Wide as she holds a Learn to Swim Teachers Course on the 22nd November from 8am-4pm. Through this course you will learn the skills to become a certified swimming instructor with Swim Australia. Please contact our swim school reception to register your interest. You will be sent pre-course work to complete before the practical course.

17.01.2022 This week is water safety week at AJ's Swim School and this thursday evening we are running a special Adults Water Safety Workshop. Learn about water safety around the pools and at the beach, and basic resuscitation to keep your family safe. Our safe teaching methods will build your confidence. Wednesday's early Colosseum class is now starting at 5.45am, Thursday's early Cycle class is now starting at 5.45am, and Tuesday's 4pm KIDfit class is now in the Colosseum with Jarrod.
