21.01.2022 Emirates pushes back relaunch to July 1, 2020 Up until recently, Emirates was supposed to resume some flights by mid-May 2020, but that has now been pushed back. Emirates has now updated their schedule to reflect a July 1, 2020, relaunch date for regular operations, assuming the timeline doesn’t get pushed back much further.

Milan Madrid Chicago Toronto Sydney Melbourne From Australia, Emirates will operate three weekly services from both Melbourne and Sydney to Dubai and London Heathrow only. Travellers will only be accepted on these flights if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries. Journeys to these destinations are considered as repatriation flights and will follow similar repatriation handling procedures. All passengers travelling on repatriation flights must reconfirm 72 hours prior to departure or their booking will be cancelled. Before you depart: From 1 July, passengers travelling from these countries must have a negative COVID-19 PCR test before they are allowed to fly:... Europe: all countries except Italy, Sweden, Denmark, Spain and Armenia Africa: Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa and Republic of Central Africa Asia: Saudi Arabia, UAE, Jordan, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and Iran The test must be taken within 96 hours before departure to Lebanon and the results must be presented at Emirates check-in and to the Lebanese authorities on arrival. Passengers travelling from all other countries and transiting via Dubai do not need to show a test result before they fly. However, they will have to take two tests on arrival (see below). All passengers must complete a health declaration form before arrival in Lebanon. All passengers except diplomats, members of international organisations and UNIFUL must have an insurance policy covering all costs of Covid-19 treatment throughout the duration of their stay in Lebanon before arrival. Exiting and re-entering Lebanon Passengers who travel from Lebanon and return within a week do not have to take a COVID-19 PCR test before they depart back to Lebanon. Payment for a test on arrival All passengers aged over 5 years travelling to Lebanon from any destination must undergo a COVID-19 PCR test on arrival. The cost of the test is USD 100 for every passenger and must be paid before travel by contacting their local Emirates office or travel agent. Passengers must remain in self-isolation in Lebanon until their results are released, which will be within 24 hours of arrival. Passengers who did not need to present a test before travel must take a second PCR test 72 hours after their arrival through a lab designated by the Ministry of Public Health medical team at the airport. The cost of the test is to be paid directly to the designated lab. Arriving passengers who receive a positive PCR test result must follow the directives of the Ministry of Public Health in Lebanon until they recover.
