25.01.2022 This fact doesnt make any of these deaths less tragic. But it begs the questionwhat are we doing, as a society, that is making our humans so sick? If we want ...to beat COVID-19, instead of acting like people will murder each other by just being in contact, why dont we concentrate on the health of the host and the health of the planet? Genetics play a role, sure. But theres a tremendous amount YOU can do to be healthier. When you do these things you are much less likely to succumb to coronavirus or any other infectious diseases. A lot of this is lifestyle. Which means we need to make cultural changes and change our cultural expectations. Here are 5 suggestions to get you started. Stop eating sugar. No more pop-tarts or jello or cookies or packaged sugary crap that isnt really food. No more soda. Instead eat delicious and nutritious organic raspberries, blueberries, mangoes, bananas, apples, oranges, kumquats. When you need a pick me up eat dates. Theyre sugary and gooey and delicious. If you want junk food, fair enough. But make it yourself and substitute healthier ingredients. Shirt the sugar by half and sweeten that homemade cake with apple sauce and pineapple and dates. Use organic sprouted whole grain flours (spelt, barley, oat) instead of refined anemic white flour. Get the toxins OUT of your community. That means no glyphosate (Roundup) on the grass, no spraying other pesticides or herbicides. No lead (its everywhere STILL and it hurts humans). No off gassing VOC paints in schools or libraries. STOP overdoing it with medicines. Never take Tylenol again. Ever. And be careful about any medication that contains aluminum, especially injectable meds. Get the toxins OUT of your house. That means using natural beauty products like avocado oil for a moisturizer not chemical perfumed toxic crap. That means no shampoo with sodium laurel sulfates in it or paravents or phthalates. Your body absorbs what you put on your skin so stop feeding your body carcinogens. Get outside in the sunshine. Every day and as often as you can. Run, walk, shuffle, dance. Move your body all day long. Do not stay stationary. If you do you compromise your health, both mental and physical. Its not that you have to workout. 20.01.2022 Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die Its hard to be positive in circumstances with whats going on in Australia ...currently, however there are good stories out there, and its sad that theyre being missed because of one person. Ive gone and found some of my favorite stories. 1. The ringtale possum that ran to the firefighter and climbed up onto him, finding safety in his helmet. That same firefighter dropped off the possum to the station and then raced to a house where he dragged a man out because he was almost killed in the house fire. 2. The kangaroo that was raised by a family when it was young, released into the wild when it was old enough only for it to return years later racing into the family home and finding safety in their lounge room, the same one it was raised in. 3. The Aussie spirit of sharing your house with strangers and helping those who need support. This is a story that is common in every community, its just rarely reported. 4. Sikh volunteers driving 700km to assist and cook meals for those impacted by the bushfires as they said they came to Australia with only a bag on their back and wanted to return the favor as they knew what it was like to have nothing. 5. A group of mates drove 10 hours to support the Willawarrin community impacted by bushfires and the community adopted them being grateful for the meals and support they provided, supplying everything - from food to all the cooking equipment. 6. Firefighters in SA saving 6 koalas and finding them safety in a nearby house. 7. Local firefighter Kale Hardie-Porter leaving a note for the family whose property they saved and found shelter in that home, writing p.s we owe you some milk - this post went international and showed the positive impact of one kind gesture 8. IFAW koala detection dogs searching for any koalas that survived the bushfires 9. Firefighters saving a pine tree that locals decorate every year for Christmas. Locals who have had the tradition for the last 7 years thought the tree would be gone, but firefighters chose to save the tree which might be small for some, but to a community impacted by the bushfires, it was something positive for them to reflect on 10. RFS Commissioner Fitzsimmons displaying amazing leadership and support. He has worn his heart on his sleeve, spoke with the families and friends of those who sadly lost their loved ones to the fires and showed up each day to get the job done. 11. Or the Navy coming in to rescue and await evacuating those stranded, even allowing their pets to come on board. You can choose to focus all your energy on one man, spread hate and anger - but really what are you achieving? Be sad - yes. Be disappointed - yes. Put that energy into the voting ballot next election if you wish. But dont take away the good stories that are coming out of a horrible situation. Dont poison your family and friends newsfeed with such anger and hate. Try and focus on the things that are getting thousands of Aussies through this tough time - kindness, love and support.
