07.01.2022 Total Yarding: 28,880 Lamb numbers eased and the quality was mixed with more light and plainer lambs penned. There was a good run of trade and heavy weights whi...ch were mostly woolly new season lambs. A few more shorn lambs were in the market but still were limited. Lambs to restock and feed sold to a dearer trend with restockers paying from $86 to $138/head for the majority of their lambs. Feeders paid to $159/head. Medium and heavy trade weights to 22kg sold from $126 to $160 and 22 to 24kg lambs made from $158 to $175 or 700c to 730c/kg, easing $2 to $3/head. Heavy lambs over 24kg sold from $180 to $199 and extra heavy weights made from $195 to $217/head. Extra heavy shorn lambs topped at $236, gaining $8 to $10/head. Heavy hoggets lifted $10 reaching $220/head. Merino lambs sold from $136 to $168 for the trade weights lifting $6/head. Mutton numbers eased slightly and quality was mixed with more light weights penned. Prices were $2 to $6 dearer on the lighter weights and $15 to $20/head on the heavy mutton. Heavy crossbred ewes reached $211 and Merino wethers made to $200/head. Most averaged from 570c to 630c/kg cwt. Market Report: MLA's National Livestock Reporting Service.
