25.01.2022 Where have I been the last few weeks??? Erm, right here I have zero excuse to why I haven't been very active on @akii.design and I am sorry to my little passion baby... but there's been so much going on in this mind that it hasn't got too much room to take on new projects. Life is busy, which is great! have actually taken to journaling, writing morning affirmations and gratitudes. It's been really nice!... Anyone else journal during the week?? See more

25.01.2022 Sometimes it's not a full house reno, but designing key pockets of joy in a home. Our client wanted new curtains for her circular - yes, circular! - window in the master bedroom. We decided on sheer curtains to allow for the morning light to drift in and designed custom curatin rods out of Tasmanian Oak, stained to match her existing window frames Curtain rods made by @resoandco

11.01.2022 HELLOOO So sorry I have been absent the last two weeks, went back to the office and trying to juggle between waking up on time, getting buses, meal prepping and looking "office" acceptable ie. Not wearing yoga pants with a hair pack in my hair ... ... Feeling all the winter feels atm, not only through food and clothes but also cosy furnishings getting drawn to all things knitted and embroidered right now! 07.01.2022 Two spaces, no partitions, totally different feels This is an oldie but a goodie! Our first project as AKII Design and we learnt so much on this one. A three bed apartment furnished for rental. I felt it was so important to realise the reason for this reno, to source products that would suit a property being let and understand the differences between a forever home and a rental. ... Durable carpets Functional and good quality furniture A style that wasnt too imposing and would feel like a home for whoever stayed Dark grout!! Prevents obvious staining and it looking "shabby" in a few months time. Keep within the budget, plus budget for any unexpected items. Just to name a few!! See more

03.01.2022 How great is this double facade in Clovelly Just shows you dont need to tear down a peefectly good building when you can just... give it a new outfit!
