25.01.2022 Handcrafted Nari Planter . A planter so unique, depicting the female ‘Nari’ from villages of India. With the strand of hair across her face, Modesty in her eyes, & nose ring to accessories, this piece representsfemininity& simplicity in all her beauty. Encapsulating the rural essence of craft of Belgaum Pottery. .... Elementary Collection. . A small town in Karnataka, India, called Khanapur, with only a population of 18, 535 people, speaking three different languages, is lush green and is home to white and red ware pottery. Khanapur is also famous for national level pottery institute run by Village Industries Commission. But it’s the local artisans ‘Kumbhar’ who have kept the craft alive for generations. This simplistic yet serene craft was traditionally used to make household clay ware. The white coloured clay, when baked in the kiln brings hue of red in casual patterns, adding an unintentional hint of colour. . . 23.01.2022 Hand-Painted Dinner Set Hosting your friends or just treating yourself, this dinner set would always set the mood right. Each piece is individually decorated & Intricately hand painted with traditional art, using all organic material. Such a unique addition to your dinnerware collection. . INDIGENOUS COLLECTION.... . In the remote villages of Kutch district of Gujarat, India, centuries are intact in the form of this pottery craft. A craft that can be traced back to Indus valley civilisation. Practiced for generations, now has only handful of families honing the skills. This all organic product is made up of carefully chosen clay ‘Rann ki Mitti’ . The Clay is ground, sieved, soften and shaped on the potter’s wheel, pieces are left to dry in sun & shade. It’s then baked in age old smoke-filled kiln ‘Chulha Bhatti’ powered by fuels of dry wood and cow dung. The amber colour surface is then hand decorated with natural black and white paint extracted from locally available stone .
