24.01.2022 Akrites Tou Pontou will be participating in the "Walk 4 Artsakh" walkathon, walking 4km this Sunday 11th of October to raise awareness for the injustices happening in Artsakh and Armenia right now. ---- We are thinking of Armenians both back in their homeland and in the diaspora while their indigenous land is under attack! ... Homenetmen Arax and other community groups have come together to help raise awareness and funds while adhering to Victorian Governments lockdown laws. It was an ENORMOUS some would say IMPOSSIBLE task to pull all this in under 3 weeks, across 3 states, 7 associations as well as 2 countries! But this is not the case for our youth where the word impossible is just not in their vocab.... A BIG thanks for everyone's support and dedication to making this possible. We have some great up and coming leaders within our community achieving things considered beyond impossible when I was their age (... only a couple of years ago that is..) A fitting tribute to our ancestors. May their memory be eternal. Good health and God bless to all.

The support Turkey is providing Azerbaijan cannot be ignored and we, as descendants and survivors of the genocide, see this as a continuation of the genocide of the early 20th century. Our community is standing alongside you! Although we do not feel your pain directly, we share a history and we refuse to stay silent while your country, co...mmunity and diaspora fight for their right to exist.
