20.01.2022 Learning from home can be quite daunting for both parents and students. Here are some tips to ensure the smooth running of remote learning classes this term. 1. Set up a suitable learning environment - a well-lit, quiet space with a reliable internet connection. 2. Monitor and ensure that your child understands his/her responsibilities during remote learning, especially taking note of due date for any assessments. 3. Support your child and check-in with them often, maintainin...g a good level of supervision during online classes. 4. Establish a good routine such as having breakfast before the start of online classes, encouraging exercise breaks, and healthy eating habits. 5. Manage screen time and online safety. It is important to establish balance on the use of digital platform by encouraging your child to participate in other activities such as reading, baking, and gardening. Make sure to also monitor that your child is practicing the appropriate use of digital platform and respectful online communication. 6. Communicate with you child to ensure they have everything they need and can ask for help when needed. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy. 04.01.2022 COVID-19 ADVISORY Dear clients, I understand that by now you are all aware of the effects of COVID-19. I would like to send out an advisory to inform you about the future plans of AK Tutoring following the events mentioned. ... This week (15/03/2020-21/03/2020) Tutorials will be operating as usual, with precautionary measures following the advice of the Word Health Organisation and Australia’s Chief Medical Officer: * Hand sanitisers will be readily available during all tutorials. * Students will be instructed to wash their hands before and after lessons. * Maintaining a safe distance between tutor and students. Next week onwards (22/03/2020 ) All tutorials will be online through Skype. Changes regarding this include: * All materials will be sent online. * Fees would be reduced to $30 per hour, as online tutoring may require more hours. * Payments can be sent directly to tutor’s bank account or payID.
