Now that we’re able... to get out and do more, it may be time to gradually reduce how often we spend in front of our screens. Replacing screen time with physical activity can help your family to be healthier by staying active, as well as improving your child's concentration, problem solving and social connections. 12.01.2022 From 7 Aug 2020, it will be mandatory for children attending an early childhood service to be up-to-date with vaccinations. Parents are required to provide appr...oved immunisation records upon enrolment, and at other specific ages throughout the child’s attendance at: childcare centres family day care pre-schools kindergartens early learning centres Early childhood services are also required to keep a copy of all approved immunisation records for the duration a child is enrolled in their service. Retaining immunisation records onsite will enable a faster response time during a vaccine preventable disease outbreak, and help protect vulnerable children. 05.01.2022 Hi playgroup families, To align with our current SA health advice we have decided that instead of not running for 2 weeks, playgroup will not run for the rest of the term. Playgroup SA will be running playgroup at home if you wish to get involved in that. Thank you for being a part of our playgroup community, we hope to get back on track and see you all next year!

01.01.2022 EXCITING NEWS: Akuna Playgroup will resume from Friday 31st July from 9.30 11am. We are so excited to welcome families back to our playgroup starting the 31st July and running for 8 weeks in term 3. We look forward to re-connecting with you and your children and hope that you have been enjoying time together. On arrival please ensure that you check in at the sign in desk with Tracey (our playgroup coordinator) as we will require your details and pay your $3.00. If not alrea...dy paid your annual insurance fee payable to the Playgroup Association is to be made to the playgroup co-coordinator within your first three weeks please. Staff will be available to assist you upon arrival with any inquiries and social distancing will continue to apply. We will share further information in relation to implementing SA Health recommendations with families on arrival.
