19.01.2022 The Australian Labradoodle Association has produced 7 short videos to help you groom your labradoodle inbetween visits to your groomer or to learn yourself how to groom your labradoodle. We have 'sneak peak' at one of the videos in this post - all about how to trim the eyes of your labradoodle. These videos are available to our clients who have purchased a puppy from a registered breeder with the Australian Labradoodle Association. We have a closed Facebook Group that is open to people who have an Australian Labradoodle puppy from one of our registered breeders. If you comply, don't forget to answer the questions when you request to join Labradoodles of the ALA. 12.01.2022 Are you looking to welcome an Australian Labradoodle into your family? Right now, our breeder members are experiencing unprecedented inquiry numbers about puppies. Due to Covid-19 many families have more time at home, which is a great time to welcome a puppy - BUT - puppies grow into adult dogs and have a life expectancy of 12-15 years. Covid-19 times will pass, and life will return to normal with work commitments, school, sporting, holidays and more. Your puppy must be prepa...red and trained to self-settle so that they can be left on their own over time. Separation Anxiety is real and can manifest into undesirable behaviours if not managed from the time the puppy arrives home. Please think about your life once the current crisis is over and put strategies in place to ensure "that your post Covid-19 life" is also accommodating of your new furever friend. A puppy is for life, not just for Christmas or isolation. Remember that the right puppy is always worth waiting for. See our website to find a breeder in your area. Breeders who are members of the Australian Labradoodle Association breed these beautiful dogs responsibly and ethically, the welfare and care of their dogs and puppies are a priority. http://www.laa.org.au//find-a-labr/ala-accredited-breeders

11.01.2022 What is the difference between a fleece and a wool coat? The wool coat is like a lambs wool in texture. It should have the appearance of looser spiraling wool. The fleece coat is a soft texture like an Angora goat. It can either have a straight wavy look or a soft, spiral curl. Both of these coats are low to no shedding with allergy friendly properties and low doggy odour.... Hair coats, usually seen in an early generation labradoodle are prone to shedding. 07.01.2022 Why choose a breeder registered with the Australian Labradoodle Association? The high demand for pups now means there are more opportunities for unscrupulous breeders and scammers. If you choose an ALA registered breeder you may need to wait a bit longer to secure a pup but it is worth the wait, just for the knowledge you are getting an ethically and responsibly bred dog with a registered pedigree.... All ALA registered breeders must adhere to our Code of Ethics and Rules and Regulations which include strict rules around the care of breeding dogs and their pups, health testing and compliance with local and State Government regulation and dog registration just to name a few. https://www.laa.org.au/index.php/ala/ethics You want your pup to be a lifelong member of your family so before you make the important decision on where to purchase them from take a few minutes to click on the links and learn more about what choosing an ALA breeder means.
