25.01.2022 My latest restoration project, a 1965 4.2 Ltr OTS now fully disassembled and ready for paint stripping.

25.01.2022 This SerIes 1 coupe has had it's rear guards widened to take the much wider and deeper dish Dunlop pin drive wheels! and will be lowered to give it a mean stance!

24.01.2022 An article on my car in the Classic Jaguar magazine UK current edition

24.01.2022 Decided to do the car as number 3 in Ecurie Ecosse blue which was 1957 LeMans winner. Not a big fan of blue but overall the car will look better I think?

24.01.2022 The new CMR Ecurrie Ecosse transporter in 1/18 scale awesome!

23.01.2022 The frame is now reunited with the tub and the fit out begins

22.01.2022 Getting the engine out required a liberal coating of KY jelly as it's a bleeding tight fit!

22.01.2022 Just started the restoration of this early Ser.1 4.2 Roadster, all the panels removed will be taken to Minus Paint for chemical stripping and then to Marz and Cars for paint.

21.01.2022 This car has been beautifully painted by Steve at Marz & Cars and now it’s back with me to complete the build. It’s going to be a very special car!

21.01.2022 My radiator is stuffed, can’t be fixed and it’s only a couple years old with bugger all use! So now I’ve got to replace it, won’t be cheap, Oh Well what do you do.

21.01.2022 Three scales available- 1/18 1/43 1/72

21.01.2022 Finished bulkhead steering column cover, now on to the exhaust heat shields

20.01.2022 This cars rear guards have been tastefully widened to allow the 9" pin drive rims with 265 x 65 x 15 Avon tyres! This car is going to be a real head turner!

19.01.2022 Ready for the new radiator on Wednesday

19.01.2022 After a small delay my new replacement radiator is finally finished and ready for collection and installation. Woo Hoo!

19.01.2022 I've made a Hi Vis Led disk that fits behind the standard reflector (Which still reflects as per original equipment) but lights up when you use the brakes or turn on the lights (or works in both modes!) I think this is a much better (and safer) use of the reflector as the rear tailights on a Ser. 1 are quite small ensuring a safer outcome.

19.01.2022 Coming together

16.01.2022 The Motor is next!

16.01.2022 The stripped car body is now being chemically stripped & de rusted at Minus paint and when done will be taken to Marz and Cars for them to work their magic!

16.01.2022 Taking a week or two off to focus on my D Type project and I'm pleased with the progress so far

15.01.2022 The Frames are finally painted! Do I have an Amen from the crowd! Now to get it home without scratching it!!!

15.01.2022 Final fit check of the engine frames to the tub and then Keith Hunter of Hunter Motor Bodies will weld all that needs welding then off to be painted!

13.01.2022 An Engineer will vist me this Wednesday to inspect the car and tell me if it will be able to be registered in SA. If it can then it will have to have EFI instead of Weber’s and a host of other ADR required changes, but at least I won’t have to trailer it every where!

12.01.2022 The car is on it's way to have a final polish & detail at Marz, really close now!

12.01.2022 Noticed a small weep out of my aluminium radiator which has alluded me for ages just as to where exactly it was coming from! So after much deliberation decided to finally pull it out to have a proper look, turns out to be coming from the top right corner so now hopefully it can finally be repaired! While out I’ll freshen everything up and do a big general clean. I’m also going to reset the shim clearances as they’re a bit noisy

11.01.2022 Interior trim mostly completed, with the dash top to fit

11.01.2022 The car is being totally stripped and everything that needs paint gets painted, then reassembley with attention to ft and finish

11.01.2022 Not much left now! Engine frames out tomorrow, then off to get some minor welding done and paint, then back together for what hopefully is the last time!

11.01.2022 Getting very close to completing this car

11.01.2022 Today I completed the passenger side of the car, I'm reasonably happy with the result.

10.01.2022 The Ser.2 FHC I've been restoring has now been polished and is back with me waiting to be started and tuned

08.01.2022 The replacement radiator is finally refitted and now to refit the bonnet and get out and enjoy it before the weather gets too hot!

08.01.2022 Car is on its wheels with the RHS of the car now completed (Bonnet strap & lock) now to do the LHS!

07.01.2022 After a complete restoration this beautiful Series 2 Coupe is getting its first shake down run. Everything is working well with only a few minor things to address, it will soon be back with its owner to enjoy!

07.01.2022 Progress is being measured in the smallest of steps at the moment, engine frames currently away being painted! Then progress will be made in big steps! Bring it on!

06.01.2022 The Engineer said the car can be registered (with changes) so the engine is out for modifications, as well as a new replacement EFI throttle body setup driven by a Haltech ELITE 750

05.01.2022 Installed vents to create air flow around the header pipes

05.01.2022 Just completed the body of the Dry sump oil catch tank, needs welding together and other fittings, but its mostly done!
