25.01.2022 Our most recent project on Kent St, Sydney. The client SDP Solutions is a contractor management company that is innovative and evolving. Al & Co is tasked to create an innovative and modern space, to represent and reflect the companys ethos and service. Our first site meeting looked at its key areas (please see previous post or click on the high light tab SPD Solutions). Today will look at some of the foundational materials and colours to commence the design process.... Al&Co foundation material board displays natural tones mixed with robust and modernist shapes that will help mould the work space. We have picked and chosen the following; - 1. Dulux design stone effect in Dreamstone white - To be applied to the lower wall areas consisting of high foot traffic. To hide dirt and scuffs while keeping maintenance to a minimum. 2. Laminex Refined Oak Pearl Key areas such as meeting room, to create warmth and a welcoming ambiance. Material is low maintenance, FSC / PEFC Certified and comes with a 7-year warranty. 3. Profile Fabrics Zest Royal Applied to custom relaxed furniture. E.g. Lunch room and chillout area. Designed and made for heavy commercial use with 165,000 rub testing. 4. SAS 800 Trucel ceiling grids Key area over meeting room and chill out area, to have applied ceiling grid exposing the inner working and services e.g. exposed AC venting, plumbing etc. To create an effect of there is more working under the skin. Great way of breaking up the work spaces, and the more relaxed areas. Comes with an easy to install system and 25 year warranty. 23.01.2022 Our Chevuex Revamp project is almost complete. To finish off the project we will be adding some high-quality items for the reception area and cutting stations. First point of call is the client seating waiting area. We selected the Bayou straight lounge by Swiss Design to bring a sleek modern look with maximum comfort. The reception area required a pendent light, so we decided to go with Mobile Chandelier 9 by Michael Anastassiades. Restaurant is well known for its creative, magical and theatrical presentation of the finest culinary cuisine to tantalise your palette. After many successful years in operation, the space was in need of a revamp which would complement its ever-changing menu. ... Nel Robertson (head chef and owner) of Nel. Restaurant wanted his creative dishes to be show cased through the dishes, and the design of the restaurant space to create a holistic experience for his customers. With a proposed theme of Alice and wonderland, Al & Co targeted key areas of the restaurant space to best compliment the creative theme, without outperforming the main Hero of the show the famous Nel dishes. These two talented lawyers from Western Sydney wanted an up market law firm that represented who they are and where they were going. Fast passed, contemporary, on the edge law firm is youthful, stylish, and has a classy ambiance to it, (not your typical conservative law firm). The purpose is to attract clientele with solid bright colours while keeping the finishes as low maintenance as possible.
