24.01.2022 One of the easiest tools we have to reduce risk in a pandemic is to wash your damn hands. Before and after class, students have to wash their hands with soap . Along with social distancing, no contact self-defence and sparring, we are able to create a safe training environment for our students . #taekwondo #training #martialarts #sydneytkd #ultimo #pyrmont #glebe #fitness #covid #covidsafe #hygeine #safety

20.01.2022 Most people know that Taekwondo mainly as a Korean striking art. In a self defence situation, punching or kicking someone might be over the top. As martial art experts, we have a responsibility to respond with commensurate force. . At colour belt grades, we teach you to evade attacks and counter-attack, whilst at black belt we cross train into Hapkido techniques like wrist locks and armbars, perfect for controlling an attacker . We are looking forward to when health guideline...s relax and we can get back to contact training, but in the meantime, we are focusing on the footwork and response without a direct attacker in class . Join us on Tuesday and Thursday 7-8pm at Ultimo Public School for our adults class. We have a fun and safe training environment for all fitness and experience levels. 19.01.2022 Another step we've taken to create a safe training environment is to stop partner sparring. Whilst this is an important training tool for footwork, movement, and practising techniques, these objectives can be met by practising the patterns and shadow sparring . We are doing everything we can to provide a covid-safe class so that old and new students can be confident in training and development of their skills . We would love to have you along for a free trial class on Tuesday... and Thursday 7-8pm at Ultimo Public School. Just shoot me a message expressing interest! . #taekwondo #martialarts #training #sydneytkd #ultimo #pyrmont #glebe #fitness #covid #covidsafe #sparring See more

02.01.2022 Formal patterns in martial arts is perfect for practice and demonstrating combinations and skills in a non-combat way. This means it's perfect for training during Covid times . The difference between a well performed pattern and one that just goes through the motions is subtle, but very obvious even to the untrained eye. Timing, stance, preparation of movement, and the action itself needs to be just right . We would love to have you at our Adults class in Ultimo, Tuesday and ...Thursday 7-8pm. Comment or message me to come along for a free trial class . #taekwondo #martialarts #sydneytkd #training #covid #covidsafe #confidence #fitness #training #ultimo #pyrmont #glebe #patterns See more
