20.01.2022 The lovely Breanna finished her Wednesday weekly work experience last week. After 3 months this lovely young lady certainly grew in confidence and abilities. So proud of her, her great work ethic, beautiful demeanor and cheerful personality. Alan's are very happy to have been able to be a small stepping stone in her future life path .....we will miss that gorgeous smile and wish her all the very best in her future chosen career.

20.01.2022 Our gorgeous Bree became a learner adult last week....turning a momentous 18 yro! Thank you to the WHOLE Cafe for singing a rousing...very loud...edition of Happy Birthday to her....and completing her embarrassment of being outed. We love you Bree....oh to be 18 again....the world is your oyster and we are sure it will be full of pearls for such a lovely person. Spring fast approaching so not long before we get tables put on the lawn. 11.01.2022 What a colourful..very busy weekend. Alan's Cafe proudly hosted the Mardi Gras breakfast and we think everyone and more came back Sunday to get amongst the rainbows.... Thank you to our amazing team for a superb effort. You guys rock! ... So great to live in such an inclusive community. It certainly was alot of fun with lots of cheek.... including from our wonderful golfing ladies.....

Thank you doesn't come close to appreciating our amazing team. They are all so far above fantastic. Paulette you are especially one incredible person. ... So we leave 2020 behind soon but we can still appreciate that in some ways it has been a great year whenbput in perspective with the rest of the world. So please appreciate the here and now, appreciate the important people in your life and let them know it and be kind to one another. We will see you in 2021!!

10.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! 2YRS OLD! This day 2 years ago, we welcomed you thru our doors. We have had such a great time, laughs, stories, Covid and everything in between. It certainly wouldnt have been possible without the constant support of our patron family or our superb team. We have laughed together, hugged and wiped tears together, argued, sang and danced together (badly ) and through all of this Alan (Dad) has been there, thanks to all of you keeping him with us.... Personally the last 2 years have been a massive time of change and learning. Huge highs and lows, accompanied by doing things I would never have thought possible. Every bit is positive as it is the path to where we are meant to be. Through it all has been Alan's and all of you.... THANK YOU! We cannot express how thankful we are to you all. Let's blow out the candles and go forth with more fun times ahead

10.01.2022 Yesterday was the 5th Anniversary of Alan's (Dad's) passing. Although I still miss him and often wonder what he would make of these times, it wasn't a sad day. He was mentioned often and we had so many lovely and definitely cheeky people visit, it was a wonderful day of remembrance. Dad still is mentioned or remembered in some way, every day. We are extremely grateful to our Alan's Cafe Family for keeping him with us. He would have loved all the cheeky banter but still be so ...humbled by the Cafe being his memorial every day.......love and miss you Dad....make the most of your loved ones x Lovely family in the other day....our fab burgers all round! Soup of the Day....Leek and Pumpkin Pie of the Day.....Butter Chicken Fabulous quiches and all the favs on the menu

09.01.2022 YAY! WE ARE OPEN TO DINE IN! BOOKINGS ENCOURAGED 9751 1037 Remember...we are BYO ... OPEN..... 7AM TO 2.30PM ......7 days Plse book weekend breakfasts to avoid dissappointment. SEAFOOD CHOWDER....yes Roger has started with a bang...putting on his amazing Chowder thru hot demand....yes it can be takeaway! Cabinets are full once again with all the favourites and some new yummies....menu has been revised to suit the times and we are open for 20 people to dine in. Can't wait to see everyone. Just a few obvious rules.. Must stay socially distanced 1.5mtr.... Must order food for dine in.... One and half hour stay duration.... Everything can still be takeaway..... MOST IMPORTANTLY must give cheek and pull our legs....somethings don't change... Come one, come all....Oop's 20

07.01.2022 HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAULETTE and ANNE !!! Several choruses of Happy Birthday sung in the Cafe on Friday...not only was it our gorgeous Paulettes birthday but also one of our most long standing and very loved patrons, Anne. We adore you both and it showed with all the flowers and singa longs...... Get your laughing gear wrapped around our new Brekky Burger...dressed with Hollandaise....yummo.....grab it to go with a coffee or dine in. Have a wonderful week everyone

06.01.2022 Had the most beautiful message sent to us last week...made me cry....so wanted to share. It is in the pictures below. A photo is on the comments. Dad passed away June 2015 and this Alan passed in Nov 2015. I hope they are having a good laugh together. Our beautiful patrons are the heartbeat of Alan's Cafe and is so lovely that Dad can still have an input 5 years after his passing. Paulette ..our wonderful front of house....thank you for all you do and who you are....you are j...ust amazing and we all adore you xxxx Have a wonderful week everyone and stay cosy. Pie of the Day.....always changing ...always yummy...served with chips or salad.... And...how about finishing it off with a slice of Lemon Syrup cake and Cream ......just saying..

06.01.2022 Another thank you post. It's been so much fun getting back into the swing of things...so thank you to all those past and new that make our days so positive. We all so enjoy a laugh at Alan's and you lot certainly ensure we get plenty. A few poignant moments along the way also...what do they say.... sharing is caring..(as long as it's not Covid ). We are still are sitting at No 1 on Trip Advisor for Breakfast, Lunch and Cafe catergories in the whole region with over 60 Cafe ...and Restaurants..with quite a few new patrons over the weekend saying they found us that way. Thank you everyone for making it happen for us. We encourage you all to continue to support all small, privately owned businesses and keep the dollars circulating locally. It so enables us to all have that great communal feel rather than the impersonal large generic conglomerate that so many places get...idealistic I know, but we can but try in small ways.... Stay warm and cosy at yours or ours......winter is here

05.01.2022 Hoping everyone came thru that wild night relatively unscathed First week...wow...thank you for your amazing support....so so so great to see everyone and lots of long distance hugs. You guys rock! NEW OPENING HOURS... Monday and Tuesday CLOSED Wednesday to Friday 7am to 2.30pm Saturday and Sunday 7am to 1.30pm Remember we are BYO! Seafood Chowder gulped down and still on.... Until we are able to seat more, it is not viable at this point to be open 7 days. We thank you for your understanding and look forward to seeing yoy Wednesday to Sunday....bookings encouraged.

03.01.2022 What an absolutely drop dead gorgeous Sunday! Hope you all got out and enjoyed it. From a moyorcycling perspective...it was a ripper! We have some lovely breakfast specials on at present with the emphasis on HOMEMADE ! Salmon, Avacado, Poached Egg and Ricotta on in house HOMEMADE sourdough! What a healthy and tasty way to start the day.... Berries and cream on in house HOMEMADE Brioche, topped with crunchy Oat Crumble! This is just simply yummo! The lives, the conditions, the bravery, the fear and generations lost. The restrictions we currently live with are an absolute luxury in comparison. Perspective is a great leveller so plse take a moment to imagine what they and their loved ones endured and be truly grateful. Thank you
