13.01.2022 Big news, our Restaurant Sea Winds at the Alara Motor Inn reopens for dinner on Monday the 18th of May. We will also launch our new menu and wine list. Dining is limited to 10 patrons at a time so book in early to avoid disappointment. Sitting times are 5.30pm, 6.30pm and 7.30pm Monday to Friday. To reserve a table phone us on 4951 2699.

10.01.2022 Our first piece of fruit from our living garden project here at the Alara Motor Inn. We have created a edible garden oasis for our Chef Cornelia to utilise in her kitchen. So far we have planted passionfruit, lemon + lime trees to our orchard. More fruit trees to be planted over the coming months. In the herb garden we planted Tumeric, Lemon Grass, Thai Basil, Vietnamese Mint, Curry Plant, Bay Leaf, Chilli, Coriander, Chives, Basil, Oregano, Thyme, Sage, Rosemary, Parsley, Tarragon and Dill. In the Vegetable patch our thriving crop of cherry tomatoes are ripening and will be ready for the plate in the coming weeks. Our guests will soon be treated to our own home grown local produce.

09.01.2022 New Today! The Alara Retail Shop. Something you don't see everyday, is food being sold at reception however these interesting times call for new ideas. So, since we found our staff finding it difficult to source products for their families, we figured you may have the same issue. So we have repackaged the items that we currently carry in our kitchen that we use in our restaurant. We have kept the prices competitive to help. If you are looking for any of these items, we are open until 7pm today and from 8am - 7pm daily.
