24.01.2022 On Thursday, BJ presented the cheque for the highest bid of $200 on his artwork inspired by the 2020 bushfires to Denis Mahon (First Officer) & Ebony Reid (Firefighter) from Pine Mountain and Districts Rural Fire Brigade. The winning bid went to John & Sarah Levak @ Executive Property Maintenance Services. An additional $100 has been raised by various donations making the total amount raised $300.

18.01.2022 The Thursday Up-Cycling group are currently making a LEGO hanger for their coats or hats from recycled timber. The hanger is made by carefully sanding the recycled timber, cutting grooves and circles and then painted to represent a LEGO block. A couple of hooks are then added to hang their hats or coats. The finished result looks amazing. Great work guys!

16.01.2022 The gardening gurus have been hard at work trying to help keep the garden watered by making reservoirs made from recycled plastic bottles with holes in and a stocking on the top to stop the toads.

11.01.2022 The Saturday social group had a fantiastic time visiting the Daisy Hill Koala Sanctuary on Saturday as well as stopping into the Hyperdome for a spot of shopping and a bite to eat.
10.01.2022 This is our new Monday group called The Tinkers and their first project was a napkin holder made out of recycled wood. Firstly the wood was cut to shape, sanded and holes were then drilled to insert wooden dowel. We then gave our napkin holder a personal touch by decorating with decoupage and paints. The final touch was to style our holders with purple napkins to show off our finished projects.... and just in time too for summer and alfresco bbq's.

05.01.2022 The holidays have now come to an end and everyone is back to school for Term 4 and looking forward to ALARA's next school holiday program. The group enjoyed many a day trip to Thunderbird Park, Mt Cootha, the Planetarium and Southbank as well as arts, crafts, Nerf fun, baking, Minecraft and enjoying each others company.
05.01.2022 The group had a fabulous time camping in the onsite tents at Paradise Country on the Gold Coast. The days were very busy visiting the theme parks and making the most of the farm activities. The Australia Outback Spectacular show was definitely a highlight for all.
04.01.2022 Our school holiday program has offered many an adventure so far over the school holidays. Here's the group at Mt Cootha and enjoying a stroll around the Botanical Gardens. The group then enjoyed a picnic lunch and show at the Planetarium.

01.01.2022 Unfortunately the Christmas Twilight Market will not be going ahead this year. The market will be back better and brighter in 2021.
01.01.2022 The holiday program also visited Thunderbird Park over the school holidays and had an action-packed day. The morning was spent exploring the park and having a game of putt putt and then after lunch, the group played a game of laser skirmish. Everyone was exhausted by the end of the day.... The group plan to go back next holidays and complete the high ropes course.
01.01.2022 Toowoomba was the destination for our recent group of travellers. The group enjoyed a laid back weekend and were lucky to get in early to enjoy the beautiful blooms on display at Picnic Point and Queens Park before the official Carnival of Flowers event started. The highlight of the weekend was visiting the Darling Downs Zoo and checking out all of the exciting animals and even getting to feed a zebra.
