To mark the start of construction, a ribbon cutting ceremony was held on location at Al Aseel restaurant at Bankstown Sports Club, with Chairman of Bankstown Sports John Murray and Managing Director of Al Aseel Group, Faysal El-Abd making the cut (yes, pun intended). Recently awarded ‘Outstanding Restaurant of the Year’ and ‘Business of the Year’ at the Canterbury Bankstown Local Business Awards, Al Aseel have grown from a low-key restaurant in Greenacre, to a six-site-strong business covering Alexandria, Penrith, Fairy Meadow, Castle Hill and now Bankstown. The construction of the project marks a $2 million investment in the local community, with hiring commencing for roles including chefs, kitchen hands, waiters and managers. I was honoured to be invi...ted, with a bunch of foodies, to Al Aseel Lebanese Restaurants in Alexandria to try their awesome food with their Christmas Specialties shining brightly. The Lamb won for me but I wouldn't complain about eating the whole Turkey!! The skewers were amazing and I fell in love with their Sambousek and Dips!! I love Al Aseel and if you haven't been before it's a must!! It was awesome having the manager come and say hello and remember me from a shoot way back in January. He asked if my arm and healed (I was in a cast back then!) and I had a full beard.
