24.01.2022 Introducing our two beautiful sisters, Sitka & Mia This is a longer adoption profile than we usually share, but these two girlies sit very close to our hearts.... They have been through lots in their lives, and we have lots to say about them. We would love to tell you that these two gorgeous girls began life knowing the stability & safety of growing up in a loving home like most dogs do, however this was simply not the case. Sadly the life they knew was that of a Puppy Farm dog. They didn't know what a home was, they didn't understand people or know how to feel safe around them. They certainly didn't know how to walk on a lead, be groomed or bathed or know how to trust a person. They were very shut down. Fortunately they were able to leave this awful property and find their way into the care of Animal Aid, along with many other dogs of similar breed at the time. After all their health checks, lots of hard work & spending time teaching them how to accept all of the things that were so new & scary to them, we began the search to find them a home. Finding suitable homes for dogs that have known trauma can be quite challenging but after a few months the girls were extremely lucky to find themselves in a home with people who had adopted huskies from us before. We were fortunate that over the last few years we have been able to watch their progress & see just how truly loved & well cared for they were by such wonderful people. But now these lovely people have found themselves in need of our help so without hesitation we began the process of taking over the care again of Sitka & Mia. Sitka is the class clown, the funny, cheeky & sweet girl who loves to give you sneaky kisses. Mia is the shy and sensible one who looks to her sister for guidance but will be sure to put a smile on your face when she puts her trust in you. These stunning girls are truly special. We begin the search to help find them their final home where these girls can continue to know the kindness of good people. We know that there will be many families out there willing to give these girls just that but we do need people to understand & appreciate what is so very important for their needs. It is more than just love, it is a quiet stable home, a secure home, a mature home, one without cats or chickens or livestock. These girls do not know or understand these types of animals and are not familiar with small children. Perhaps you are familiar with breed knowledge or maybe you have experience with dogs that have suffered trauma? What we can tell you is that once these two girls trust you & feel safe with you, they will offer you so much love & joy in return. To offer a home to dogs like this with what they deserve after all they have been through, can be extremely rewarding. 22.01.2022 When searching for a breeder , be mindful of what you say. Think clearly and concisely if the timing is right for you and is the breed right for you. The breeder will have a plan of what they are looking for in an owner and will react to your first interaction. Take into consideration the "after covid" times:... * will you go back to the office? * have you trained your dog correctly to be left alone for your work day? * how will you entertain your dog with less time home? Remember the old advertising campaign " a dog is for life, not Christmas" Now it's " a dog is for life, not Covid lock down"

07.01.2022 Sadly our sweet Lola will have been missing for one month tomorrow. This has been an absolutely heart breaking time for our family. We are so grateful for all... the support and generosity we have felt from our community, it's truely been more than we could have imagined. Whilst we knew the time would come that the social media hype would slow down, we ask you this please remember our girl and continue to keep an eye out for her in the months and years to come. She has unique features: The right side of her face is white and block brown with a blue eye, the left side of her face is a speckled brown with a brown eye. She has a brown tail with a white tip.
