22.01.2022 Sometimes the situation is so dire that it’s hard to know where to begin to pray. I put together some thoughts from a few helpful resources that might help you ...intercede for the people of Afghanistan. Pray for protection over Afghan believers and perseverance despite suffering. Pray that the fall of the state will not lead to more extremism and terrorism. Pray for the spiritual provision of ministers and missionaries, that they would stay strong in their faith amidst trial and suffering. Strengthen what remains and is about to die (Rev. 3:2) Pray for Afghans who are seeking Truth to boldly embrace a new identity in Christ. Pray for the mental health of veterans who served in the 20-year war. Pray for the Taliban But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven (Matt. 5:43). Pray for the conversion of the Taliban. Pray the Taliban will be restrained from doing evil. Pray the Taliban will receive divine justice.

13.01.2022 The current orders from the NCC require any passenger boarding an aircraft for a domestic flight to have a negative test report for COVID 19. MAF recognizes the... difficulty in obtaining a COVID test for travel in most places. We have obtained permission from the NCC to conduct COVID tests for passengers and are currently doing tests at Hagen and Telefomin. In view of the number of test kits available we are giving priority to essential staff like health workers and teachers who need to go into remote communities. We do recognize that our passengers from the bush locations cannot travel on our planes as there are no facilities for a COVID test. We have taken the issue up with NCC on several occasions and are awaiting a decision. We continue to pray for wisdom for the National Leadership as they take decisions. We also pray for practical outcomes, especially for our people in the remote areas so that our rural passengers can avail our facilities.
