25.01.2022 This is Taylor. I was first put in touch with Taylor as a means of completeing a fitness assessment for him, Taylor was able to pass his fitness assessment but not without pain brought on by shin splints. On the back of some suggestions from me Taylor asked if i would like to be his personal trainer. Before we could go anywhere we needed Taylor's shin to recover so we rested them, and while they recovered we brought stability to his trunk and strength to his gluteals. Next we... slowly began increasing the strength of his leg muscles and their ability to handle impact, Taylor would see a decrease in his cardio-vascular endurance through this time. Once i was satisfied that he would be able to handle an increase in load without a relapse we pushed his training hard building his cardio-vascular endurance not ust to where it was but even better. Now Taylor is smashing his fitness goals pain free and injury free, I've had an absolute blast seeing Taylor acheive his goals and would love to have the oppurtunity to help you and others as well. 24.01.2022 Hi everybody. the school holidays are fast approaching and with it means more available time for me to be massaging people who otherwise wouldn't be able to come into the clinic. If you are aware of somebody who needs a massage, maybe it's you, then call Great Southern Physio on 98428850 and book in between the 6th of July and the 17th of July any day of the week. available Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 9-2 and Thursday/Friday from 10-6. 19.01.2022 This is Jake of Jake of all Trades. Jake works hard, if you check his page out you'll see just how hard he goes, but he is looking for a bit more with summer just around the corner, eventually the sun will stay out for days at a time. 19.01.2022 This guy has been crushing it, every second Monday Jake comes to these steps and puts himself through the paces. Starting at the bottom he goes to the first landing and then back to the bottom for 5 squats, and then the second landing and back to the bottom and so on and on this goes for 11 landings. Jake Stuart has improved his time with each attempt, today coming in under 18 minutes. Its fantastic to see Jake improve every session and keep pushing himself even at the end of his workouts. Great effort mate and keep it up, under 17 minutes next time is the goal.

15.01.2022 Been a bit lazy with the running lately so i decided enough was enough and what a fantastic day for it. Hopefully everyone gets a little active and outdoors today, see you out there.

Firstly I'am still doing my massage work out fo Great Southern Physio on Fridays but this is where i will be posting about my fitness business, fitness related topics and. Why the change? Fitness was actually my first career choice out of highschool but it didn't eventuate but now after a 7 year deliberation i got my PT qualification and a further 2 years of learning, practice, and confidence building here I am raring to go.... What do i offer? I will be providing access to both group fitness sessions and personal training to people outside, Albany and outside training? I know, I know. Where? Foundation Park, on the corner of Vancouver and Parade St, you probably know it as the park where the dog training occurs. When? Next week. Group session times are from 5pm to 6pm Mon-Thu, Thursday also has a morning class time of 6:30am to 7:30am. How much? Personal training prices are - Adult $30 - Junior $15 - Senior $15. Group training prices are - Adult $20 - Junior $10 - Senior $10. Please note that a junior is under the age of 18 and I require parent or guardian signed approval, while a senior is someone over the age of 60. To celebrate the return of the sun I will be down at Foundation park on the corner of Parade and Vancouver from 4:30pm to 6pm Monday through to Thursday this week. I will be bringing down some of the equipment you can see in the cover photo for people to use and have a bit of fun with, free of charge.... So if you want to come down and see what I'm all about, pull a weighted sled, go for runs, and perform bodyweight exercises for free then come outside while you can and say hi. See more

01.01.2022 It's around this time, when the sun slowly starts to come out and play that many in Albany look for ways to be a little more active, shed a couple of those winter kilos, or enjoy those rare moments of sunshine we do get. A great way that people acheive this is by running, while being active is a great thing that gung-ho determined mindset of being out and about may get you to push your body a little too far, and a little too hard to start with. This running season please remember to pace yourself, respect your limitations, and listen to what your body is telling you so that you can maximise your time outside where the fun is.
