Ensure you sign in upon arrival to the centre. You can check in via our QR scan barcode at reception upon arrival or sign in manually. Maximum 22 parents allowed inside the perimeter of the Indoor Heated Pool (excluding staff) at any time. Please ensure you enter the Indoor Heated Pool from the north-western end and exit from the southern side of the pool (amenities side) to endure social distancing is maintained. Additional viewing area is located on the southern side of the Indoor Heated Pool or between the 50 metre pool and the Indoor Heated Pool. Do not enter the Indoor Heated Pool area before the previous lesson has finished. 21.01.2022 PORTION CONTROL - Are you unsure about how much food/what types of foods should be on your plate? Having adequate portion sizes at meals is important for weight loss and ensuring balance across all food groups. When looking at a main meal we want to aim for at least 1/2 of our plate filled with vegetables and salad , 1/4 of our plate filled with lean protein such as fish, tofu, chicken, eggs or lean meats and the other 1/4 filled with a source of carbohydrate such as rice, bread, potato, or pasta . Also include small amounts of fats and condiments such as olive oil, avocado or butter .

08.01.2022 Technique Tuesday How NOT TO do a kettlebell swing - it’s not a squat... - dont use all the strength on your arms - don’t over extend your hips when pushing hips forward How TO DO a kettlebell swing - Start with the kettlebell on the floor slightly in front of you and between your feet, which should be shoulder-width apart. - Bending slightly at the knees but hingeing mainly at the hips, grasp the kettlebell and pull it back between your legs to create momentum. - Drive your hips forwards (but don’t over extend) and straighten your back to send the kettlebell up to shoulder height. - Let the bell return back between your legs and repeat the move.
