24.01.2022 Tess Anderson from Greenbank Scout Group presented me with my very own Scout scarf and woggle! These traditional scarfs are designed to be the perfect size for... use as a triangular bandage for first aid- so that no matter where you are you are always prepared to help someone in need. The scouts also showed me their artwork of a turtle made out of recycled plastic! A big thank you to Scouts Queensland for joining us at Parliament House today for Scouting on the Green 2020 and a big shout out to the amazing scouts clubs in my own local community including Algester Scout Group, Browns Plains Scout Troop and Acacia Ridge Scouts Club Jess Pugh MP for Mount Ommaney

24.01.2022 140 Scouts and their amazing parents attended the Warner Quarry yesterday to plant out the entire Old North Rd Corridor (opposite Bunnings Brendale). 650 Koala loving Trees were planted and the rain yesterday gave them a great start to thriving. We would like to thank Landcare Australia, greenleaf_ecology, Councillor Cath Tonks, Councillor Matt Constance MBRC, Pine Rivers Koala Care, Rotary Club of Albany Creek for attending and Supporting the Scouts in achieving this massive project. #scoutsgetthingsdone

13.01.2022 Sea Shepherd Beach Clean Up - 364 pieces of rubbish collected by our Joey Scouts. Over 200 of that was cigarette butts! Sage (Kumburri) and Cash (Raven) even came to help out. Well done Albany Creek Scout Group!

04.01.2022 Scouts recognised for planting trees at the Warner Quarry in the final State Government policy document. Well done ACSG. We have another tree planting day coming up in late October to replant more of the wildlife corridor and of course go koala spotting. Hopefully we might get to see some of the Joeys as they emerge from pouches.

What a busy group we have been but the award to the most awesome kids ever goes out to our little Joeys on a hot day today they assisted with the Marine Debris CleanUp collecting 364 pieces of rubbish collected by our Joey Scouts. 02.01.2022 It’s National Recycling Week this week and we have challenged all of our youth to bring in a bag of bottles to go in our Scouts Recycling Bin. Recycling and raising funds for our group win win!

02.01.2022 Albany Creek Scout Group would like to thank Councillor Cath Tonks and Moreton Bay Regional Council for our wonderful new addition to our Scout Den - a much needed dishwasher. This will save many volunteer hours of washing up. Just in time for our Joey camp this weekend! No more smelly milo cups after Scouts nights!

02.01.2022 How great does our lawn look today! Our Scout den is utilised by so many community groups when Scouts aren’t meeting. This is the amazing benefit of our ground improvements it doesn’t just assist us but the other twenty groups that also use our grounds to meet at. Scouting is community.

02.01.2022 Albany Creek Scouts Group would like to thank the Queensland State Government Department of National Parks, Sport and Racing, Active Clubs Grants Program for our new Kayak. What a beauty it is. In addition to this magnificent craft we were also able to purchase 10 whistles, 4 kayak pumps,10 new PFD in junior sizes and 5 throw bags. This kayak will allow more adult supervisors on the water so we can have more youth participating in water activities. WARNING - Ventures this one is not for collecting rubbish on Clean Up Australia Day, It's far too pretty!

01.01.2022 What a fun afternoon as 48 Albany Creek Scouts descended on Archie Bros Arcade at Toombul to celebrate the end of the Scouting Year. What a year it has been! Thankyou to our wonderful leaders who have given so much to ensure our kids have had a consistent and stable Scouting Program despite the challenges this year has thrown at us. Thankyou also to all the parents who brought their kids out to participate in the numerous activities. The committee wishes you all a wonderful Christmas and a happy New Year. We look forward to welcoming you all back in 2021.
