24.01.2022 100 Days of Learning @ AC - Day # 73 Year 12 Certificate III final oral assessment for 2020. Students created their own site presentations for an overseas destination including trips to Iceland, The Bermuda Triangle, Egypt, Alcatraz, Monkey Forest and Disneyland. 23.01.2022 100 Days of Learning @ AC - Day # 77 Year 8 Rocks! The Year 8s ended their unit of study on Rocks this week, by completing a group activity that had them create song lyrics related to Rocks and The Rock Cycle. The students brainstormed a list of useful vocabulary that had to be included in their parodies to show their understanding of all things Rock! Students then decided on a band name and developed an album cover for their song. The activity was finished off with a karao...ke performance of their song in front of their classmates. 21.01.2022 100 Days of Learning @ AC - Day # 74 Year 12 Hospitality classes have completed their event for assessment. Students were required to run a Café in accordance with Covid safe regulations. Students were in charge of the planning, documentation, trials of menu items and putting the event together as class teams. Both classes should be extremely proud of their efforts, they produced quality meals and drinks that reflected industry standards. Well done to all those involved. Mr Stergou

20.01.2022 Football Excellence Program: Brisbane Metropolitan Schools Football Championships Our Senior Boys finished off their football season with a great win over a strong Sunnybank State High School team, in yesterdays Metro Schools Championships Grand Final. In a highly competitive game, the boys worked hard to break down a good Sunnybank side to finish up as 31 winners, and Metro Champions for 2020. Goals came from Jack and Connor.... In an effort to continue to improve hygiene FreshAsHygiene want to offer our school a quality product whilst giving something back to the community. 12.01.2022 Football Excellence Program: Metropolitan Schools Football Congratulations to our Year 9 Boys football squad on winning the Brisbane Schools Metropolitan Grand Final yesterday. Competing against Citipoint College, the boys once again worked hard on achieving their objectives with a final score line of three nil and goals coming from Seth, Oliver and Eddie. In their four Metro games, the team has conceded only one goal and scored thirteen; very pleasing statistics indeed.... Well done to all players for their commitment and effort. mt252
