24.01.2022 Albany is open for business! Contact us by phone or Messenger if you would like to book our house for your school hols, family gathering, dog show, wedding or just for an easy going few days off. Places to stay in Albany over the long vacation get booked very fast,

15.01.2022 Many thanks to those of our guests who have given us the thumbs up! It is very much appreciated by your hosts, we had the best year in 2019, so many nice, friendly and interesting people passed over the threshold of Unit 2. We were constantly inspired and very happy to meet such lovely guests, kids, grandmas and some beautiful, well behaved dogs too. We will not be having the same number of overseas guests this year, but that leaves plenty of room for our fellow Western Australians!

15.01.2022 At long last, after the storms , thunder, lightning and torrential rain we have had a sunny day. Not particularly warm, but we did catch a glimpse of the sun. The diary is filling up fast, our new dryer has made the laundry management much easier and generally we are on top of things. A recent 4 day void spot enabled us to get a few maintenance jobs completed, some gardening done and curtains up in place of the rather uninteresting brown blinds on the patio doors. The extra cleaning has enhanced the space and it certainly sparkles when it is freshly cleaned and sanitised. Albany is looking wonderful and we can only look forward to another lovely summer here with our visitors.

11.01.2022 It is quiet down here at the moment, and cold & wet. However, in between the downpours, dogs still love their walks. We have just said goodbye to 2 lovely rescue dogs and their owners and welcome Pippa the sheltie and her hoomans for a week next week. I am taking the opportunity to make a few more changes in Unit 2 while it is empty; we are putting a small workstation in the living room. It replaces a cupboard, which was a mistake, so a small desk, seat and lamp will take up that space. I hope this change will be more useful than the cupboard! We need some more photos.

04.01.2022 We will be good to go again in October with our Albany house. We have been able to provide a roof for a local family meanwhile. We will be back in business with our short term holiday lets in time for summer . You can enjoy a lovely holiday that is a mixture of cultural activities and relaxation.

02.01.2022 We have a happy family in our house just now and we are booked through to August with couples, kids, dogs, friends and grandparents. That's more like it! Albany is up and running. This is an outstanding year for whales, they arrived early and in great numbers, always a treat to watch them splashing about out there. It is easy to see them from the coast but if you want to get up close and personal we have several boats in the harbour that will take you out, including accessible ones ( wheelchairs welcome) which accept companion cards. Christmas is booked already but there is plenty of room either side.
