16.01.2022 And just like that Junior States 2020 is done! Congrats to our 9 competing swimmers - Cam, Billy, Heidi, Kai, Creed, Thomas, Freya, Itsuki and Ned on an awesome weekend of swimming. Team Albany finished in 23rd position out of 35 competing clubs. ... More Special Mentions (and theres lots of them) go to.... Our seven swimmers - Billy, Kai, Creed, Heidi, Ned, Itsuki & Freya - who had Top 10 placings. Our six swimmers - Cam, Kai, Thomas, Itsuki, Ned, Creed - who finished the weekend with 100% PBs. Sundays overall Team PB @ 82% Creed with another silver medal today in his 100m Breaststroke Ned with another massive PB of 13.41 seconds in his 200m Backstroke Well done to all swimmers and their support crews - you guys are all awesome Coaches Jan and Nola couldnt be any prouder!

11.01.2022 Great results from Senior State SC Championships tonight. Jake Shepherd joining the State medal ranks with a Bronze in the 15 years 200 Backstroke with a 5.70 sec pb. Luke Wallinger placed 5th in the 16 years 200 Backstroke also with a 5.71 sec pb and Bronte Fethers finishing inside Top 10 with a 9th in the 15 years 200 Backstroke.... Brilliant way to start off the States weekend... well done Team Albany

11.01.2022 An awesome days swimming for two of our Bronze Squad team members today at the Guildford Kalamunda Junior SC swim meet. Annie Newman (7 yrs) competed in 6 events and achieved some great times and lots of place ribbons. Harry Newman (9 yrs) swam in 7 events and finished the day with 3 Silver and 1 Bronze... Congratulations to Harry and Annie on a great day of competition at their first ever official swim meet.

Jake Shepherd 15yrs 200 IM - 6th with a great 7.44 sec pb! 200 Freestyle - 13th with a 3.36 sec pb Coco Smargiassi 13yrs 200 Freestyle - 18th 200 Breaststroke - 7th with a fantastic 6.04 sec pb! Luke Wallinger 16yrs 200 IM - 9th with a great 4.49 sec pb! 200 Freestyle - 14th Boys 14 - 16yrs Freestyle Relay - Luke Williams, Luke Wallinger, Jacques Swarts and Jake Shepherd - another pb of 2.17 sec and placing 5th! 07.01.2022 It was a great day in the pool today at Junior States for Team Albany. So many achievements across the whole Team with 67% PBs the end result on day 1. Special mentions go to....... All swimmers for their Good Sportsmanship. The respect they showed to each other, their coaches, parents and competitors was outstanding and did not go unnoticed. To Cam, Billy, Heidi and Kai - all with PBs at their first ever State Swim meet. To Creed - finishing the day with 1 silver and 2 bronze medals. To Ned with a 11.68 second PB in his 200m Freestyle To Itsuki with a 22.43 second PB in his 800m Freestyle To our one and only relay team - Kai, Cam, Billy and Creed - you did Albany proud! Bring on day 2!
