24.01.2022 An informal post race get together is planned at Six Degrees 3pm Sunday. 21.01.2022 A reminder to all participants at the Try-a-tri tomorrow to please adhere to the current best practice methods for COVID safety, that is; -Do not attend if feeling unwell, non-essential spectators advised not to attend - Use hand sanitiser prior to entering transition - Practice social distancing at all times while at the event - Keep cough covered... - Do not share equipment - All competitors and volunteers encouraged to download the COVIDSafe app - Competitors encouraged to turn up, race, go home - Be friendly and have lots of fun ( this one isn't official, it's just a club policy for all events) See more

20.01.2022 UPDATE: Still short one preferably two helpers to run this event tomorrow morning. No experience required for timing (on the job training) but events traffic management ticket on cycle turn would be even better. Next event is on this Sunday - 19th January - registration from 7am. Same location at Emu Point but with swim on ocean side. Please let us know if you can assist- still require someone for cycle turn (event traffic management ticketed)

14.01.2022 Swim course moves for club event #3 With low tides and seaweed beds making swimming in Oyster Harbour near impossible, the Albany Tri Club will move the swim leg to Between the groynes for Club event #3 on January 19th. This will be a familiar location for club veterans, with many triathlons starting here in years gone by.... The club will have additional water safety on the day and the course will still remain in the shallows. Transition will be in it’s usual location and the ride and run legs will be unchanged. Swim distances will be the same, ie 300m for short course and 750m for long course. For any queries please call race director Jim Darmody on 0428910220.

05.01.2022 Close to 70 keen athletes are braving the windy and cold conditions to take part in the third Southern Ports Albany Sprint Triathlon run by the Albany Triathlon... Club while a duathlon is also taking place. The triathlon consists of a 750m swim, a 20km ride and 5km run while duathlon competitors will tackle a 2.5km run on Middleton Beach, the full 20km bike leg and then final 5km run.
