23.01.2022 Binoculars made from toilet roll cardboard, ribbon and stickers worked well for spotting koalas at Raymond Island, Victoria, Australia today Note the drink bottle in the hood of the vest, genius move husband!! The Koala Walk is a good walk to do with the kids and plenty of koalas to keep us all happy We got the ferry as pedestrians which is always a hit with the kids too ... Then a picnic and a walk around Paynesville to see the nesting swans and some babies then home for more painting.

You see, Jay would LOVE to get into acting and modelling and that’s where I’m asking you all a favour .... I mean, last night I had to look at photos of Jason Momoa as Aquaman for research purposes and inspiration and today Ive had to research photos of Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool. 19.01.2022 One of my favourite echidna photos EVER, check out the ants running up its nose and face trying to get away from its sticky tongue. This gorgeous little ball of spikes was so chilled out as I was lying on the ground with my camera. He/She ended up coming really close to the camera so I could capture these details. Sometimes being a photographer means being in the right place at the right time ..... and sometimes it means lying down on the ground near an ant nest and hope th...at youre in the right place while waiting for the right time. I only received a couple of ant bites for my patience And yes, this one will be in the 2021 calendar

18.01.2022 Happy Monday Everyone! I was hoping to be able to share some good news about when I can reopen, but I dont even know. One place says yes to outdoor photography in groups of less than 5, but Business Vic says no, and yet TV studios are allowed to keep recording news, etc. Its frustrating! Hopefully well have some clearer information before the school holidays. ... Let me know if youd like to go on the list for school holiday mini-sessions and Ill be sure to contact you first. I already have 4 families on my list. Hopefully I get to create fun artworks for them!! In the meantime, Im trying to keep things fun for my kiddos :)

18.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK TIME!!! Run Mason, RUUUUNNNNNNN!! Masons Mumma Bear told me that Mason loves so many things but his true love is for dinosaurs and roaring in imaginary play being a dinosaur. He loves too run and be chased and also loves hide and seek.... He got to pick out his favourite dinosaur and I created this artwork for him. He was running into his Mums arms when I snapped this photo. I love the look of concentration on his cute little face Thank you so much to Mason and his Mumma Bear for coming along to the studio. 18.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK TIME!!! Introducing Mr Nick and his best friends!! Nick is the most amazing boy you could ever meet. He loves soccer, footy, politics, his Mumma Bear, his little brother and their cats and dogs. He always tries his best with everything he does.... It was a bit of a challenge to get all 3 of these handsome boys facing the same direction, but, Im sure youll agree, this shot was so worth the wait! All I had to do was reel off a couple of Dad Jokes and the smiles came out. Im sure the dogs enjoyed my jokes too!! 17.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK TIME!!! Introducing Puppeteer James!! James loves role playing characters or scenes with LEGO figures, related to good vs bad, including Avengers or Transformers. Hes also interested in careers in the defence force and police. ... For his artwork, he explained this concept to me and it has taken me WEEKS to figure out how to create it for him. I love a challenge so I was happy to find a way to complete the vision that we created in our imaginations. Also featuring his little brother Julian who was photographed prior to James photoshoot. 16.01.2022 SNEAK PEEK TIME!!! How beautiful is this Little Miss and her custom artwork?! And the best part, it was created using a photo lovingly captured by her Grandma who then sent it to me to create this. Her Grandma loves my artworks with fairy wings, and an elephant was also requested. This is what I came up with.... Fairy wings, light flare rainbow, sparkles, a baby elephant and a blue butterfly all set on a background of Picnic Point in Bairnsdale. I'd love you to give this Little Miss some . 14.01.2022 My Life B.C. .... Before Children. A trip to Kruger National Park before embarking on a scientific voyage from Capetown to Antarctica. Ahhhhh seems like a whole lifetime ago. It was amazing while it lasted!! Check out this gorgeous giraffe. I'd love to take my kiddos to Africa one day And take the camera equipment I have now!!

She went above and beyond to contact all of the families involved and sent them details of the project to see if they would like to take part. 06.01.2022 This may be controversial but it worked for me AND Im not afraid to put my mental health first. I cant be a good Mum without a break. Crying not dying. I often let new mums know its OK to put your baby down in a safe place for a minute or 2 to get your sanity back when they wont stop screaming. ... Let me explain: I had a baby who was super difficult to settle, undiagnosed tongue tie didnt help (diagnosed and cut at 6 months). I finally understood how a parent could end up shaking their baby out of pure frustration and how when youre exhausted beyond belief (the baby isnt sleeping either) and the baby will.not.stop.screaming even though theyre fed, changed, warm, burped and cuddled... that point of overwhelm could honestly break someone. So I put her down in her cot, shut the door and walked out into the back yard, hugged my dog for a minute and came back in to do it all again. God knows I could still hear her (I was only maybe 20 metres from her), so she was crying, not dying. Then when I picked her up again, I had reset and found my patience again. I could be the best Mum I could be for her. A minute of deep breaths made a massive difference! And p.s. shes 5 now and still tells me Im the best Mum ever. And shes still a feral who tests my patience! I really feel for new Mums at the moment with lockdown who cant get outside help at what was the most difficult time of parenting for me.

01.01.2022 From a few weekends ago when we visited Raymond Island, Victoria, Australia This kookaburra was very determined to get something tasty out of this tree branch, flying off to have a rest and then back into it again. Not sure what was hiding in there because the mozzies were eating us alive so we had to leave before 'Kooky' got to it's lunch.
