22.01.2022 Well, this sucks. First up, every one of you stay safe. This is going to be a bumpy ride. After processing all the COVID19 info that’s available we have no option but to suspend operations indefinitely. ... Sadly this will take effect immediately. The current health crisis we are all facing is much too dire to entertain any further procrastination. Your well being and the well being of the musicians who we all support is too important. Now being aware of the financial slippery slope that all creative artists in Australia survive on, we truly hate cancelling shows. We will attempt to reschedule shows later in the year when hopefully the worst is behind us. In the meantime go to the artists’ sites, buy an album or two, if they offer a virtual concert go to it. 20.01.2022 It's been many months since we were able to stage concerts, but once the restrictions are lifted I intend to try to reschedule as many of the cancelled gigs as I can. PLUS I had a wonderful experience recently. I was searching for the lyrics to one of John Beavis's songs. For those who don't know John is a brilliant songwriter whom I met in the early eighties. His work is beautiful. Mental illness has meant we haven't seen much of him in recent years. But a wonderful duo, Alanna and Alicia (look them up) cover a number of his songs. 06.01.2022 I've been around a very long time and have ridden the emotional rollercoaster that is the Music Game. Nothing compares with this current situation and, more tha...n ever, we need your love and support. I'm not doing too bad because I'm coming to the end of my tenure and am very happy in my semi retirement. This post was originally to spruik 2 very important and great gigs I have coming up - one this Friday & one in early July, but I started to think about everyone in my game who absolutely rely on the craft for their income. They're getting nothing more than what you give them for their service. Whether it be buying a ticket to a show, buying a CD or a stream (direct is best) or just showing up to a pub they're playing at. This has always been the way, but now it's harder. Don't hesitate, if we're allowed out "Blinking into the light" on Friday get out an have some fun and some Live Music. See more
