18.01.2022 Dear APSC Football Family, We’re writing to you to provide you with the latest developments regarding coronavirus & the announcements made by the FFA. As you are aware, COVID-19 continues to be an evolving situation in Australia and across the world.... After careful consideration and having regard to the feedback received from the grassroots community, the FFA advises that effective from 12:00am on 18 March 2020, all sanctioned grassroots football activity in Australia will be suspended until 14 April 2020. The suspension applies to all sanctioned matches and competitions, including National Premier Leagues, FFA Cup, youth and grassroots football (including MiniRoos and futsal) as well as training and associated football related activities. The safety, health and welfare of the APSC football community continues to be our highest priority. Accordingly, we will be postponing all football related activity until such time that the FFA announce that is safe to do so. The FFA will continue to closely monitor all COVID-19 developments in consultation with the Federal Government and its National COVID-19 Working Committee and will provide updates to the football community as the latest information becomes available and in advance of 14 April 2020. We appreciate that some of you have paid or part paid your fees for the season. We are hoping for best case scenario, which is that everyone stays healthy & well & the full season commences on 14 April. We will communicate any changes to you as & when we hear more. If you have any questions or major concerns, please reach out to the APSC committee. Kind regards, Albert Park SC Committee

16.01.2022 Pre-Season Update: Expressions of interest and trials are now complete! Keep an eye out in your inbox (and check your junk folders!) for the latest information and updates. Players who attended should all receive an update.

14.01.2022 Dear APSC Football Family, We hope that you & your families are remaining safe & healthy during this difficult time. We’re writing to keep you updated on the latest developments & provide you with an update on the comms received from the FFV earlier this week.... As you’re aware, all football is currently postponed until April 14, which means no training, playing or club football activities at all. A prohibited gatherings instruction was signed by the Victorian Government on 25 March 2020, which includes a ban on social sports gatherings (i.e. social sports). The FFV have confirmed that scenario planning is underway to enable them to plan for recommencement as soon as practical and safe. They will engage with us as they seek to redesign solutions for each of the competitions. We understand that you may have questions in relation to registration fees and the season in general. The FFV recently provided us with an update in regard to fees, with implications for the club summarised below. The full statement is attached for your reference: - While football is suspended, as a club we have been encouraged to continue collections of payments and registrations in the event the season resumes in 2020. - APSC remains obliged to pay the portion owed to the FFV for each registered player. As such, we still need to budget for this cost as a club and have done so in our impact assessment due to the season suspension. - In the event that the FFV decide that refunds back to clubs are necessary, it is expected that this refund be passed back to the individual player. This is something that Albert Park Soccer Club agrees with and will be complying with. - There may be a scenario where a full refund of the FFV cost is not appropriate back to the club (e.g. a player accessing insurance cover etc.) Similarly, as a club there are costs that we may have incurred to date (e.g. rent) that would potentially need to be factored in before refunding players. In these scenarios, a pro rata refund may be more appropriate. This is constantly being assessed and we are staying on top of the FFV for updates on this matter. We are hopeful that we will be back to playing football sooner rather than later. However, considering the ever-increasing seriousness of the situation, we remain realistic that there is a chance there may be no competitive football this season. Off the back of the FFV update, the committee is continuing to discuss various scenarios in the event that the 2020 season is cancelled. We will endeavour to keep you updated with any developments regarding the season ahead. Kind regards, Albert Park SC Committee

02.01.2022 Dear APSC Football Family, We’re writing to you to keep you informed about the latest developments, and the club’s stance, regarding coronavirus. The safety, health and welfare of the APSC football community continues to be our highest priority. Accordingly, the club’s response continues to be informed by the advice provided by the Australian Government Department of Health and the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services. In the interests of your family, ...our club and the wider community, we urge you to continue to follow such advice. This advice is regularly updated to assist you in your understanding of the virus and how it is being handled. If you have been in close contact with a proven case of coronavirus you must self isolate for 14 days from the date of last contact with the confirmed case. People with coronavirus may experience fever, flu like symptoms such as coughing, sore throat and headaches and have difficult breathing. Should you present with these symptoms, please seek medical advice and stay at home until you have fully recovered from the illness. Similarly, if you experience these symptoms, we ask you to seek medical advice and not to visit the club or attend club events until you have recovered from the illness. Please inform your Team Manager if you will not be attending training or games because of this reason. Albert Park Soccer Club reserves the right to cancel training or club events if it is advisable to do so. Therefore to minimise any cross contamination we encourage you to follow some basic rules when at training, games and club events: - Avoid close contact with others such as, for example, shaking hands with other supporters or APSC staff while at training and games. - Maintain a healthy personal grooming regime including regularly washing your hands with soap and water, especially after coughing or sneezing; - Above all, use a tissue or cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. To date, the FFV's message is that all FV competitions are continuing or will commence as scheduled. FV will continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation on a daily basis and provide updates on their website should this position change. We thank you in anticipation of your ongoing understanding and support. Albert Park SC will continue to keep you informed of any significant developments. Please do not hesitate to contact your Team Manager direct should you wish to discuss this further. Kind regards, Albert Park SC Committee
