12.01.2022 Hi everyone out there in Covid land, I thought it was about time for a catch up and I hope everyone out there is managing their way through this testing time without too much stress and anxiety. As I have told you previously we are working through all of the issues we are encountering on a daily basis and dealing with the most imminent departures before the ones further down the track. Also in the mix is the constant updat...es and changes to policies by the airlines, cruise lines and wholesalers as they extend their dates further into the year based on travel restrictions, cancellations and government travel bans. I also ask that you be patient waiting for refunds and credit notifications as the suppliers are getting them out as quickly as possible. I am finding it hard to get my head around what I am being told is the volume being dealt with. I must also stress that all of the suppliers have different policies and dates, there is no one size fits all policy, which is very frustrating for everyone, myself in particular. Let’s hope that soon we can grab a bottle of wine and go to our favourite Chinese restaurant, and start talking about where we will travel to when this madness is over. 11.01.2022 Hi everyone out there in Covid land. I would just like to let everyone know that we are still here and operating, and will remain so. We are however, observing the social distancing requirements by spending as little time in the office as necessary and working from home where possible. I am in the office each day at 9.00am, attending to daily email communications regarding cancellations and supplier policy changes and updates. Once completed, I am returning home and doing wha...t I can from there. I can be reached at all times on my mobile phone, 0413495027, or call the office, and it will ultimately connect thru to my mobile if I am not there. I am dealing with the most urgent issues, being travel in the next few weeks, and the daily, sometimes hourly changes to policies from airlines and tour companies, and will deal with future bookings as issues or changes are notified. It has also became very apparent, that waiting and not panicking, has resulted in a better outcome, as closer to your travel date, and based on what is happening in the community and government, policies are changing, in some cases providing more flexibility or rebooking options. Therefore, if your travel is booked for June this year or later, just wait a little bit longer before contacting us. Of course if you do need reassurance, please do not hesitate to contact me, and I will fill you in on the current status of your bookings, and supplier notifications. And, please, when this is all over, and you are looking to travel again, please support your local travel agent, as more than ever we will need it. More than ever before, this crisis we are experiencing has shown that we are accessible and here for you, and working as hard as possible to get the best result possible for you and your travel plans. 10.01.2022 I would like to inform all of our loyal customers that we are doing everything in our ability and within the available conditions being provided to us by our suppliers to help with all issues created by the current situation with the Covid 19 crisis affecting our whole population at this time. The current situation is as follows; We are being informed regularly and being kept up to date by all providers, ie. Airlines, Cruise companies, Tour companies, Accommodation providers ...and Wholesalers, and anyone else we deal with, about their current policies with regard to cancellations, rebooking options and time frames going forward. As you would understand, we are dealing with issues which are unprecedented, and we need to deal with these issues based on departure date, as they are the most urgent. We will attend to everyone affected in time to get them access to whatever their respective supplier is providing, applicable to their specific travel dates. Suppliers do currently have definitive dates applied to their policies, and will constantly monitor the situation, and adjust these dates to suit information available to them from Governments and industry leaders where applicable. My advice, first and foremost, is do not panic. We are seeing daily now what panic is doing to the general public, and is achieving nothing but anger and rash decisions. Do not just decide to cancel, this will cost you money, there will be options available. Talk to your Travel Agent first. In this situation, like no other we have experienced in this industry, it is confirming that the best thing you have done is use a Travel Agent. We receive these updates, and we have the contacts in place to enable us to action the issues affecting your booking. I have been contacted in the last week by people who have booked online, and cannot contact the company, due to phonelines being congested, or purely, they have no contact information. Call Centres in places such as the Phillipines have shut down as their country has told them to stay home. Travel Agents cannot assist anyone who has not booked with them, Airlines and suppliers will not discuss these bookings with Travel agents, as it contravenes Privacy Laws. Please feel free to contact me if you have concerns about your booking, or future plans. Also please let the phone ring through, as if I cannot answer straight away, I will get the missed call, and will return the call. If we are made to self isolate, by lock down, I will still be operating from home, and will be able to assist. We will get through this. See more
