14.01.2022 Albion Park Women's Hockey Club announces with great sadness the passing of Mary Marley, aged 90, on Monday 20th January, 2020. Mary's enthusiasm, dedication and support was passionate and admiring. Mary was an integral part of our club and association, and held many accomplishments throughout her hockey career. These are just a few.. Mary was a founding member of the club in 1947. In 1966, Mary became a life member of South Coast Women's Hockey Association. ... In 1996, the fields at Croome Regional Sporting Complex were named Mary Marley Hockey Centre. Mary was President of APWHC for 50 consecutive years. In 2014, Mary received an Order of Australia medal for her dedication in hockey. Nevertheless, it was seeing Mary every week at the game supporting players which affirmed Mary's love and encouragement. We have many memories and stories of Mary to embrace and treasure.
