23.01.2022 NEW RULES: EDITED: The pub will be still be serving takeaway food but that can now also be consumed in the beer garden, where you are now welcome to join us for a drink as well. The bar will also be open on a restricted basis..........but pls read on...... So, some relaxation is permitted from today, but it isn't as simple as we'd like and it is vitally important that we comply and we have the full support of our valued customers. The rules are a bit complicated, but in shor...t. We're able to serve people sat outside in the beer garden, but it is for TABLE SERVICE ONLY. You can't come in to the bar and order a drink, nor can you stand and socialise. Social distancing rules, and mask rules will still apply. Please note that it is a condition of entry that you comply. Under the law, If there is a breach it is the responsibility of the individual not the pub, and you'll have to cop the fine if it happens. The bar will be open with a 10 person maximum seated ONLY. The dining room will not be open. We CAN sell draught beer and wine etc by the glass, but that must be consumed seated at a table. We can sell packaged alcohol to takeaway which can be consumed anywhere, but drinks in glasses etc. must stay within the pub or the beer garden only. These rules are going to be imposed and checked throughout regional Victoria by compliance officers and police. It's hard enough to keep a hospitality business going in these tough times as it is, so we are grateful for the help and support of our customers in complying with the law.

20.01.2022 As we have since the very first day of lockdown, The Albion is still open to the fullest extent possible. The bar is open every day from Wednesday to Sunday and we serve meals to dine in or takeaway too. As we are still restricted in numbers, bookings are essential, although we can accommodate nearly 40 people in the beer garden and we will be able to use the outside tables at the front of the pub again really soon. We're also looking at extending opening to 7 days a week a...nd offering pizzas on Monday and Tuesday if the demand is there. Thanks to the many people who have supported us through these difficult times. We are hopeful that a further relaxation will make life easier for everyone. See you soon.

19.01.2022 No changes in numbers allowed, but we expect an influx of visitors from Metropolitan areas, so locals should please book to ensure you don't miss out if you want to dine-in. Here's the latest summary of changes...... https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au//Summary-of-statewide-r

19.01.2022 Just to let you know, the kitchen is closed on Monday and Tuesday as usual, but the bar will be open and serving cold beer on Cup Day. Watch the race on our new big screen TV and create your own cup day atmosphere. Meals will be back again on Wednesday.

19.01.2022 We're open. Open for beer. Open for food. Sit down. Takeaway. Whatever you like (five days a week for now) We're open for Lunch from Wed-Sun and Dinner Wed-Sat. We're also open for coffee and bacon rolls on Saturday mornings. See you soon <3

17.01.2022 A reminder. Please be prepared to show PHOTO ID if you come to the pub. We didn't make the rules, we're just following them, so please be patient and show appropriate ID when asked. Thank you :-)

16.01.2022 Very pleased to announce the pub will be open tomorrow night (Friday 20/11) from 5:30pm for drinks only (no meals) See you then.

16.01.2022 COVID UPDATE: Sunday's announcement by The Premier brings us no respite from the ongoing challenge of trying to operate under covid restrictions. We are still restricted to 10 people per room, so bookings remain vital to avoid disappointment.... We are also required to ask for i.d. to show we are checking for visitors from Melbourne. It is an offence for us to allow anyone from the metropolitan area to sit down on our premises. That includes people working in the area on permit. As a result, service will be denied to anyone who is not able or willing to show appropriate i.d. Stay safe everyone <3 The full statement and details of changes for regional Victoria are available via the following link. https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/statement-premier-77

14.01.2022 We need to let people know that the pub has temporarily closed. The takeaway service is also unavailable for the time being. We will post reopening details as soon as we are able. Thanks everyone <3

08.01.2022 Some small relaxation of restrictions was announced yesterday, with more anticipated later in the week. Whatever happens, we'll continue to provide takeaway for the local community until the doors can open <3 One small notice.... We'll be shut on SUNDAY 20/9. It's my daughter's 18th so that's more important :D Thank you all for your continued support <3 ... https://www.vic.gov.au/coronavirus-covid-19-reopening-roadm

05.01.2022 You can't go to Flemington, but you can join Rusty at The Albion and watch the race that stops a nation on our new big screen. The dining room isn't open, but we will also have a traditional favourite of pie and pies available to go with your cold beer or chardonnay <3 and we'll be running a sweep to add a bit of spice to the occasion. After the big race, why not stick around for a couple and put some tunes on the new digital jukebox.
