19.01.2022 GAME DAY | The Thunder are back in Vicsoccer action this Sunday in what will be a very tough test, away to an undefeated PEGS. The two sides met in a pre season friendly earlier in the year, in which PEGS won convincingly. They are a very well organised, well coached group but Thunder will be looking to turn the tables, high on confidence from a great performance last week. Kick Off: 10:30... PEGS Sports Feild, Keillor Downs Thank you as always to our supporters Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) LUCRF Super community Program & Park Social Soccer Co.

18.01.2022 THUNDER FALL | Albion Thunder are still searching for their second win of the season after going down 4-3 to Azaad on Sunday. Thunder were dominant, creating tonnes of chances and having an early goal disallowed for offside. When they did find the back of the net, it was under controversial circumstances, with Azaad claiming to have a player down behind play. Thunder showed great sportsmanship, and in a move to make Bielsa proud, allowed Azaad to equalise unchallenged ...from the kick off. Thunder continued their dominance, taking the lead again soon after from a well struck free kick and went into the break 2-1 up. However in a pattern that has plagued the thunder this year, they were unable to take their chances. Azaad on the other hand were clinical, converting three quick half chances, taking the lead 4-2. Thunder continued to create but despite a late goal, were unable to find an equalizer. Another week with lots to be proud of, but shooting practice will be high on the agenda for Thursday’s training.

17.01.2022 Thank you Diego. You have inspired so many generations to play the game beautifully. RIP, Diego

13.01.2022 GAME DAY | Albion Thunder are back in action tomorrow at home against Azaad. Thunder have struggled to hold their leads in past two match days with both games ending in 3-3 draws. Only 4 points separate the top 8 teams after 4 rounds, so the Thunder will be keen to start turning their draws into wins. ... Azaard arrive at Selwyn in the same position, level on points, which sets the scene for a fascinating match. 12.01.2022 Mothers Day Classic | Those present at PEGS Sports Field were treated to a captivating match today, which had all the ebbs and flows of recent European Champions and A League finals series drama. After going behind early, Thunder put in a fantastic performance to go into the half time break 3-1 up. ... PEGS came out firing in the second half however, and ‘pegged’ back the deficit, restoring parity. The last ten minutes were played with a frantic energy, with both sides going all out for the winner. Despite a very open and intense end to the game, neither side could find the break through goal, with the game ending in stalemate. A fair result on the balance of play. Thunder will feel like it’s a lost 3 points, but given PEGS great start to the season, have much to be proud of, with good result away from home. Albion now look forward to next week, and their first home game of the season at Selwyn Park against Azzard F.C. 03.01.2022 GAME DAY | Albion Thunder return to Princes Park to take on Melbourne Uni this Sunday, looking to make up for a disappointing 2-1 loss last week. Despite the result, Thunder are full of belief they can turn the season around with one good result. Thunder have played some brilliant football this season but will need to be more ruthless in the front third against a Uni side that currently sits top of the league. ... Princes Park holds good memories for the Thunder as it was a 2-0 win on the final game of last season that saw them narrowly clinch the 2018 premiership from Uni.
