24.01.2022 We are quietly hopeful of being able to start next Monday, 15th June. Due to social distancing we will be limited in numbers, and we are not quite sure how many dancers we can take as yet. It may be ten per space, or it may be one per four square metres. Whatever the numbers we will be taking bookings for places, and drop in dancers will only be allowed if we are under the limit. All people will need to sign in and write in either phone or email details. Hand sanitiser will b...e available. In the short term we will mainly be dancing solo swing, be it the Shim Sham, Charleston, Mama Stew, or various jazz steps which can be incorporated into your partner dancing. Those with partners can dance together if you want. In the short term we will try out two sessions per night, the first from 6:45 till 8:00, and the second from 8:00 until after 9:00. We can also offer lessons for small groups (6-8) on other nights of the week if this suits. If you want to reserve a space, do get in touch asap.

23.01.2022 OK, the Covid 19 situation is still very messy. Because we are on the border and Wodonga people cannot attend anymore, we have lost a good percentage of our dancers. Also, many of our people from the NSW side are health care workers or in related fields, where they have to deal with people in close situations, or they have families that need protecting. So, although we have been practicing social distancing and solo dancing, many people are feeling more uncomfortable about th...e potential risks of getting together. We have therefore decided to take a further break to our classes and wait until the infection rates are way down and the border has opened up again. August..... September.... who knows, but hopefully not to long. If we can dance together we will do a partner workshop series, and if we still need to keep distance we will work on more solo dances. Stay safe y'all, and we hope to see you all soon. See more

22.01.2022 It is looking like we might be able to start up again soon, with the easing of border restrictions and a 50 km radius. YayIt is looking like we might be able to start up again soon, with the easing of border restrictions and a 50 km radius. Yay

17.01.2022 This is so relevant for our dancing. Thanks Caitlyn

17.01.2022 The Commercial Club has bands on again on a Sunday, slightly later now from 5:30 till 8:30. I am not sure if there is dancing allowed as the flyer does not say, but these three bands are well worth listening to. Come along and join us.

15.01.2022 It may be a month or two yet before we are able to dance again, and we have decided it is a good idea to post some basic solo steps that we can all practice at home. This initial posting is solo charleston, and later on we will add abit more on to it. Next week we will also get into six and eight count lindyhop, six count rock and roll etc.

15.01.2022 This year, the ILHC (International Lindyhop Championships) was a virtual affair, with competitors filming and sending in their dance routines. This is just one of many great performances, well worth watching. When this once finishes, it should also lead on to many other performances, covering many styles of swing dancing. Enjoy. https://youtu.be/-A4SnMrlK88

15.01.2022 Tonight’s Shim sham! Fun,fun,fun!

15.01.2022 Keeping the 1500 separation, but still grooving along. https://youtu.be/rEFf8ECBdu4

14.01.2022 Something a little different.

09.01.2022 So many events have been cancelled this past year, so here is a competition from Camp Hollywood in 2019. https://www.facebook.com/CampHollywoodNJC/videos/528642854576893/

05.01.2022 The third of our little ad hoc solo charleston videos. They are short and sweet, and will give you all a little something to practice before we are able to get together again. Next week maybe a few more charleston steps, or perhaps something different. Thoughts and ideas welcome.

01.01.2022 I had posted this one a few days back but removed it to tidy it up a bit.

01.01.2022 https://youtu.be/LyJLhobDwuY Hope you are all practicing just a little bit. It should not be long now before we can meet again.
