23.01.2022 SOLD Circa 1910/15 American mantle clock made by "Sessions" USA Nice printed floral pattern on it's original celluloid dial that it is complimented by it's arabic numerals and fleur-de-lis hands. It's black wooden case features 2 columns on either side of the dial and 2 ornate drop handles perched on 4 decorative feet.... Has an 8 day movement which strikes out the hour on a gong followed by a sweet single bell on the half hour. This 50s musical ballerina alarm clock made in Germany Under the clock dial there is a silhouette of a medieval romance. The beautiful ballerina is perched at the top encompassed within a dome. Has lovely red anodised front and side panels as well as the dance floor beneath the top dome. 14.01.2022 SOLD A combination of old world charm and modern design, this gorgeous glass music box with ornate feet is a perfect addition to any home. The overall design is based on a minimalistic approach when sometimes less is in fact, more. Showcased inside a glass enclosure is a 30 note mechanical movement, the magic behind a music box's timeless appeal.... The glass itself has 2 key roles. The obvious being the characteristics of a transparent enclosure, typically associated with exhibits of priceless objects. This enables one to marvel at the inner workings that produces the distinctive sound. The other role being a catalyst in amplifying sound. Every time a note on the comb is struck, the sound reverberates off the glass panels producing a much clearer and harmonious tone. ("Happy Birthday") For added convenience, an "on and off" switch is discreetly placed in the front center of the music box in the form of a brass sphere. 13.01.2022 SOLD We are pleased to offer this unusual 40's/50's Soviet tank clock. The clock was made in Russia by the Chelyabinsk military watch factory. This clock itself was used in tank T-34 control panel and has since been re-purposed into a crystal like/acrylic art deco style casing that tilts back and forwards. When the knob is turned on and the stylus placed on the record, the music box is activated and plays the lovely tune of Romance Del’Amour... 05.01.2022 A beautiful 1970's Dutch Amsterdam/Zaandam Figural Wall Clock. On top stands a brass figure of Atlas carrying the world on his shoulders to represent Amsterdam as the trade capital of the world. Above the dial is a brass plate with 3 female figures representing Faith, Hope and Charity and below are the old dutch words: "Nu Elck Syn Sin" which loosely translates to "Now everybody gets what he wants" Either side of the clock has the coat of arms of Amsterdam and Holland.... Has 2 side glass panels revealing the inner working movement of the clock. The pendulum is a man on an horse, representing service to the king, which swings from side to side. Inside the dutch made case houses an all metal and brass German "Regula" 1 day movement which strikes the half hour and hour on a sweet bell. Has 2 cute brass pear shaped weights representing the fruit of the country. Clock is in superb condition. Measures 50cm high, 20cm wide and 12cm deep.
