09.01.2022 What an incredible job done by Dr. Sarah at the Family Vet Centre in Albury in repairing the injured membrane of a little squirrel glider. He was then successfully rehabilitated by a wildlife carer and returned back home to the border squirrel glider population. We’ll keep an eye out for him in case he stumbles across one of our camera traps

01.01.2022 Now is great time not only for enjoying native wildflowers, but also for detecting serious weeds. This includes a number of grass weeds that have a major negative impact on our natural environment and agricultural industries. For example, Chilean Needle Grass. In many ways it looks similar to native spear (Stipa) grass, but there is a dead giveway. If you look closely at the seed head there is a ring (believe it or not called a 'corona') between the seed and the awn (tail). ...Native spear grasses do not have this. If you see Chilean Needle Grass record it to Albury Wodonga Nature Map. Your signtings will be utilised by Council weed officers. https://albury-wodonga.naturemapr.org/species/lists/44 NatureMapr Wodonga Council AlburyCity
