23.01.2022 Collecting recently at the NSW Local Government Conference in Albury for the Australian Lions Foundation Drought Appeal. To date Lions Clubs across Australia have raised and disbursed $1 million for the Australian Lions Foundation Drought Appeal.

14.01.2022 Albury Lions guest speaker tonight is Beth Saintly-Gale from the Cardiac Catheter Laboratory at the Albury Base Hospital. Funds from this years Lions Magic Show are to be donated to the Laboratory. The Magic Show will be held on tuesday 20 November over two sessions 10.30am and 4.30pm.

13.01.2022 Last evening Helen Murray, manager of Hilltop Albury Wodonga Patient and Carer Accommodation Centre and Eric Wright, managing director of Fight Cancer Foundation were guest speakers at our dinner meeting. The exciting news was that 10 additional units are to be built commencing August this year. Eric has requested regional Lions Clubs to assist in raising funds of $1.3 million for the build. This Club will definately be on board to help raise those funds.

12.01.2022 Tonight's guest speaker was Liz Hare from AW Diabetes Support Group. Lion Don Fielder provides a Certificate of Appreciation to Liz at the end of her presentation. The brochure here provides contact information for those who may need help with diabetes from the Support Group.

07.01.2022 Albury Lions is again sponsoring the World Festival of Magic for children, especially disadvantaged and special needs children of Albury/Wodonga and surrounding districts. The show will be held at the Albury Entertainment Centre on Tuesday November 20, 2018. Session times are 10.30am and 4.30pm. Funds raised are for equipment at the Cardio Catheter Lab located at the Albury Base Hospital. Today our promoters commence campaigning regional business in support of the show.

05.01.2022 Albury Lions thanks regional business for their support of this years World Festival Magic Show. Once again the Show has been a great success. At the Show Albury Lions donated $11,500 to the Albury Wodonga Health Cardiac Cath Lab located at the Albury Base Hospital. $10,000 from funds raised from the Show and $1,500 from a card and game day held by Albury Lions. Albury Lions looks forward to donating to a worthy beneficiary from next years Magic Show.

02.01.2022 Lavington family house burns down and Albury and Lavington Lions together with V6 Lions Foundation assist the family financially in their time of need. PDG Mal Evans and Albury Lions President Denise Jelbart hand over a cheque to the family to help them recover from the ordeal.

01.01.2022 $1,500 raised for the drought appeal yesterday at the Albury Lions Bunnings BBQ. This money will be sent to the Australian Lions Foundation Drought Appeal for disbursement to farmers in need. To date Albury Lions has raised $3,000 for the drought appeal.
