19.01.2022 Albury Netball Association has pledged our support to Netball Victoria: Netball Victoria Affiliate Pledge As a proud Netball Association /League, we are very grateful that Netball Victoria has demonstrated sound decision making - both now and in the past - for the overall benefit and longevity of our sport.... As a sport, we have always done a lot with a little. And this is evident now more than ever. In an environment where some multi-national corporations have faltered, a small, not-for-profit state sporting organisation, is still chugging along. It’s not quite business as normal working environments, staff hours and the way netball is delivered have all had to change but it is business as usual. Netball Victoria exists to improve people’s lives, and we are thankful that they will withstand the pandemic and be there to support organisations like ours and our Clubs now and into the future. Our Association/League is also in a sound position. Things will be difficult, but with the support we receive from both Netball Victoria and our community, we know we will be okay. In all areas of our lives we have been forced to adapt over recent months, and netball has been no exception to this. But at the end of the day we #PlayForTheLove. And the small sacrifices we have had to make will soon seem a distant memory when we are back on the court and thriving once again. A strong Netball Victoria is important to us, not just for our Association/League, but for the overall longevity of the sport we love. At this time, we are strongly encouraging our members to pledge their 2020 Netball Victoria Membership. Your Netball Victoria Membership is an investment in the future of our sport. Having a Netball Victoria Membership is saying, yes, I support my Association/League, my Club, my Coaches and my Umpires. It’s saying I love my netball, and I want to see it thrive on the other side.

16.01.2022 Introducing... Scott, Sonia and Storm Welch - or as we like to call them "Team Welch". 'We do it for the Kids!' The enthusiasm this family brought to ANA this year was infectious, what a powerhouse trio! Scott and Sonia saw a way for themselves to contribute to the ANA through gaining some fabulous new sponsorship as well coaching Representative and Phoenix teams. Storm has been a great help in the canteen and around the courts too Here's what they had to say:... Our story is simple and relatable to all parents who have had some sort of calling when their kid/s need something and you know you could help. Our little girl Stormy came home 4 years ago, excitedly saying she wanted to play Netball. Awesome! Good Call! Let's do it and get you in a team!.Yesssss!!!! 4 weeks later she's in a team in Wodonga, consisting of ages 7 to 9 year olds, put together from NetsetGo leftovers. With the little wide-eyed, hyped up, overexcited ladies, who were still walking on the court, with the ball in hand, during play or better yet, throwing the ball like a shooting bullet, Scott and I found ourselves standing on the side court holding a Coach Folder, smiling, calling out with encouragement, scratching our heads and making notes on where to start to improve their journey........ and so began our passion and love for Coaching Netball. Stormy was honoured to be selected to play in the 11 Under Rep team in 2019 for ANA, and during the selection process and Rep Season, Scott and I loved the positive atmosphere set by the Representative and ANA Committee Members, and this is where we met and caught the Marg Whittaker bug. Marg introduced us to coaching for The Phoenix and Representative Teams. We had a great season with the 13U Phoenix Blue Team and we loved seeing the ladies grow and improve on their own individual goals and with our 15U Red Rep Ladies, we had fun with the time we had and the ladies really, really enjoyed our fitness training. As for our journey in joining the ANA Committee last year. We joined the Committee, as although we didn't know what we could do to help, we wanted to be on the Committee and contribute where we could. After settling in, we joined the Representative Committee and we realised ANA could do with more Sponsors, and so we took on the role of 'Sponsorship Coordinators'. Scott and I enjoy our time on the ANA Committee and will continue to assist where we can, Stormy has also benefited from the experience and also contributes where she can, from setting up the courts before play, pulling bins in and out, canteen etc. The Committee Members have been awesome to work with and it's been a fun experience for Scott, Stormy and I. We all have the same goal as to why we all joined and do what we do 'We do it for the Kids!' So why don't you!

16.01.2022 Jokes and netball memes aside - please consider joining the ANA to ensure we can start up again next year. One of the major reasons we did not feel confident about re-starting this year was we do not have enough committee members to effectively implement a COVID-safe return. For everyone's safety and to get back out their on the courts we need more hands on deck. Step up and make it happen !!... 7:30pm Tuesday 11 th August at JC King Park or Zoom: https://us04web.zoom.us/j/7355053055 See more

13.01.2022 FAQs: What’s the time commitment of committee members? A: How long is a piece of string? There is no minimum requirement and no cut off. Every minute you spend doing something for ANA is appreciated and another minute less for someone else.

02.01.2022 Introducing Pat and Bob Kuhne... Pat and Bob have been involved with Albury Netball for over 35 years. They are very proud to be life members. Bob had no choice in going to Netball with three daughters playing. So he decided to learn more about the game and became an umpire.... Bob has his B Badge and has been involved in umpiring Saturdays, Mondays and Rep tournments/trials. He also mentors umpires on Saturdays. Pat has been involved with Rep Netball, Canteen, NetSetGo...you name it she has been involved. Pat played Monday Nights until a few years ago and was very proud to play in a team with her daughter and granddaughter. Bob has also helped out with maintenance around the club and is always willing to lend a hand. Both Pat and Bob are very passionate about Netball and in particular love being involved with the Junior Competition.

02.01.2022 Despite many of us not having quite as much court time as we may have liked thus far in 2020, at Netball Victoria we are proud of the benefits we are still providing to our valued members amidst this global pandemic
