25.01.2022 Call Out - Murray River Rescue. Remember to tell someone where you are going and make sure you wear a life jacket.

25.01.2022 Another Rescue underway on the Murray River. Thankfully all precautions were followed, they had their phone and life jackets on. Unfortunately the Murray was just too much for them and their canoes.

25.01.2022 There were reports of Emergency Vehicles and a Helicopter around Lake Hume yesterday afternoon. We can confirm there was a boat and passengers in distress however all were located safe and well by another boater on the Lake. Emergency services initially struggled to locate them as they had no idea where they were, unsure as to where they had launched their boat. We encourage everyone to down load the Emergency Plus App on their phones and use the what3words feature to assist us to find you when you need us. #vrarescue #emergencyplus

This is a once in a lifetime experience and will be a great story to tell generations to come. #vrarescue #NSWPolice #BorderClosure

11.01.2022 This morning the Albury & Border Rescue Squad - NSW Volunteer Rescue Association Inc. attended a 2 vehicle collision at the intersection of Riverina Hwy and Elizabeth Mitchell Drive. Along with our Emergency Service colleges from Fire and Rescue NSW Station 203 Albury Central, Thurgoona Rural Fire Brigade, Murray River Police District and NSW Ambulance we were able to safely assist a driver from her Vehicle and off to hospital for checks. Please be safe on the roads, there are more cars moving around and everyone is in a rush. Take a minute and arrive safely home to family and friends.

08.01.2022 We 'roped' in our members to do some low angle rescue training. These techniques help move patients and rescuers up an embankment or ramp with the assistance of ropes and pulleys.

08.01.2022 This weekend we had the pleasure of hosting VRA Volunteers from around our region. 02.01.2022 We are so proud to still have this gentleman as a life member of the Albury VRA. A member for 55years and still active, you’ll find Peter supporting the squad at searches and always there at training to pass on his knowledge to the newer members. Thank you Pete, well deserved. #vrarescue
