24.01.2022 Have you found your support circle ? So this is what a support circle looks like ! These gorgeous young ladies all live within metres of each other in the same suburb and all had there babies within the last couple of months. Yes they are all patients of AWMS ! Postnatal visits have been great. Didn't have to travel far between to see them all !!

Albury Wodonga Midwifery Services is based in Wodonga and we are expanding to Albury. We established the practice in 2015 and have grown to be a very successful loved by all the community practice. Home to the winding Murray River and its waterways, Lake Hume (six times larger than Sydney Harbour) an array of food, cu...ltural icons, contemporary museums, linkages to our migrant history, our indigenous people with secret resting spots around every corner. Albury Wodonga is an escape that’s a world away from ‘everyday’ life. It’s a place that reminds you to slow down and savour the little things. This is a place that invites you to discover, reconnect and just be you! We offer our families evidence-based Midwifery services from 6 weeks gestation throughout the pregnancy. We also offer our families Birth and labour support in the local hospital (Albury Wodonga Health (Wodonga Campus). The care continues for our families until 6 weeks and 6 days. NO more shift work. You can work your own hours and days to fit in the practice. You would have your own patient load and work collaborative with other team members to assist each other. Our appointment times are 45 mins allowing our patients and partners to be educated and empowered well, before the birth of their newborn We have a part time position available expandable to fulltime if needed. I so wish that I hadn’t let my insecurities stop me from capturing it. You don’t get the opportunity to do it later so do it now! PS. Carris your so amazing. 10.01.2022 Most of our patients have now met lovely Tanya. For those that haven't here is a little snippet about her. Thank-you to Tanya for making our AWMS so fabulous !!! I’m an endorsed midwife based in the Albury Wodonga region with over 16 years of experience in the field. Most of my career has been hospital based with a focus on antenatal and intrapartum care. While I found my niche in birth suite caring for labouring ladies, I’ve worked through all areas of care including postnat...al care, extensive experience with the midwife care program and providing antenatal parenting and birth classes. My experiences includes 12 months based in the UK, with time spent in a neonatal high dependency unit in a major hospital in Edinburgh and stints in special care nurseries across London. On a personal note, I am extremely blessed to be the mother of one child, a beautiful daughter. She has taught me many life lessons, some took me longer to learn than others but I am so very grateful for each and every one of them. While I enjoy the often fast paced and sometimes challenging environment of a hospital birth suite setting, I have found that for me true job satisfaction comes with the sense of community that continuity of care can provide. The ability to really get to know clients and their families and having the time to provide high quality education and guidance is what will make the biggest impact for new and expanding families.
